I'm ****ing disappointed.
You were either a newbie who knows nothing about the true hardcore underground or a ****ing traitor who has forgotten their roots.
Bonkers 14. I ain't even heard it, and I ain't touching it with a bargepole now.
I want an explanation.
You are taking hardcore away from me. I loved hardcore, and now you are destroying its credibility and it makes me ****ing SICK.
FIX THE **** UP.
[And apologies to the true skool forum members for a negative first post. I feel something must be said.]
Thankyou for your time.
LONG LIVE HARDCORE JUNGLE TECHNO.
Keep it ****ING REAL for ****s sake.

Welcome to the site.
BUT....
What a pointless rant that was.
I take it you're one of those 'Hardcore must stay underground even if nobody hears it' types then? What gives you the right to decide on whether other people can have access to hardcore or not?
You won't buy Bonkers 14 because they sell it in Asda? That's pathetic.
And i'm not sure where this 'credibility' you speak of came from - for most people, Hardcore/Happy Hardcore is a joke and always will be wherever you can buy it from.
I'm a lot more concerned about my disappointment with Bonkers 14 - not which shops sell it.
And i bought my copy from Asda - lets hear you tell me i'm damaging the scene.
Might be nice to be stuck in 1995 but you have to move with the times.

I'm with you all the way mate! I was just as dissapointed the first time I saw tuna for sale in Asda. I complained bitterly, but it got me knowwhere. Maybe if we join forces we can get both Bonkers AND tuna out of Asda, and back to the underground/sea where it belongs!
Peace

Tis a shame that all these big shops are selling everything now I wish they wouldnt sell music and such at all as they are destroying the traditional record shop, the only thing people can do to help the situation is make sure they get there cd's from there local record shop!

I agree with you on that mate, but it's a totally different point he's brought up here.

I only know few "traditional" record shops here (those dont even sell electronic music pretty much at all), the others are multinational corporations. Id rather buy it from the finnish shop-that-sells-everything while i buy my groceries :p

Its funny how often the "Hardcore Til I die" people, that "were there from the beginning" usually know less about Hardcore then i do ...and i dont know that much. And the people that i know were there from the beginning, dont really go boosting their ego with it.

I'm 34 mate so i've been there from the start.
Nothing wrong with buying from independants but people rightly deserve choice - i know a few people who wouldn't buy hardcore CD's if they weren't easily available.

It's going to sell more if it's available in more shops. I don't see the problem. There are no proper record shops in my town, we don't actually have an Asda either for that matter.

1992, or it may have been 91. Didn't really get properly into it until 93 though.

Absolutely nothing, but I also can see no reason why larger stores can't stock it. I do agree with the point about putting smaller stores out of business, and I do always try and buy my tunes from an independent hardcore retailer such as here, IMO or Spin Inn </plug> but shops can do what they want.
I've just re-read your first post, and it does smack a bit of "its my ball and I'm taking it home". People can buy what they like. Just as shops can stock what they like. The deal with Asda isn't directly between Asda and the Bonkers team. The Bonkers series is owned by Resist (formerly React). They in turn have a deal with a distributor who will deal with many labels and genres of music. They in turn will have a deal with Asda to supply them with their catalogue which probably includes the likes of the "Now" series etc, and Asda will select from that catalogue what they want to stock, and place an order. Before slagging people off in such a direct and rude manner I suggest you discover your facts first.
