Nope! I didn't mean Hargreaves working in a midfield position. I was implying that Lennon should have come on last night instead of Hargreaves.
Beckham provided the two best chances of the first half. Why would you take him off? I dont think Sven has ever taken beckham off or dropped him.
Im not Beckhams biggest fan but the two goals and the two chances towards the end of the first half showed his value to the team.
He is probably the best passer England have and definetly the best person to take set pieces. Is there a better crosser of the ball in world football.
The problem with England in the first half was that Gerrard was playing out of position and need time to adjust to the role. Carragher need to much time on the ball and played square or backwards nearly everytime slowing down the play too much. Yes we kept the ball well at times but never really looked like troubling Hungry for much of the first half. Owen is not suprisingly out of form and not 100% fit.
If he wishes to play Gerrard behind a lone striker surely it would be better to play Crouch than Owen.
Do you pick players to play in the system you want or change the system to get the best out of your players?
Surely you need to adapt them system to the palyers you have avaliable and are playing well.

Nope.
Beckham played fantastic last night. First half was absolute wank (except for the last five minutes). Carrick should be playing the 'holding' role against Jamaica this Saturday.

*bump*
I've just totaled up my days off over the cup and it makes for some great reading.
Out of a total of 64 matches I'm off work for 52 of them
Not forgetting the games which I can watch because I finish work early in the day! Gonna be a great month of June for Mr Mortis

Yeah seen that on Sky Sports news earlier, it's still only speculation that he's going to play. Looks likely though.
On another note, Djibril Cisse has a suspected broken leg. Apparently he did it in France's last warmup match today. Class.

Bad news for 'pool fans who thought his sale might finance some summers moves.

Well chuffed about Rooney!
If he is to play some part though, i'd say wait 'till the knockout stages. Better to let him wait another 17/18 days than a few days untill he can start playing.
