the problem is that most people don´t really enjoy any type of eletronica unless they are drugged, jumping around in a rave... and for the few that really enjoy the music even sober, at any time of the day (at least here in Brazil) they prefer trance...
Some people do complain about me listening to hardcore because for one reason Trance, especially Psy, became something like POP!! that´s all people want....but don´t worry about what people say!! keep it bangin´!

its funny tho, coz while everyone is ready to slag u off for listning to it, if they happen 2b listenin to it, without realsing it, o0dds are they'll tell u its good and they like it.
cool?? **** cool! the opions of random dickheads shouldnt bother u. only the opinions of ur family and friends. and if they like ur music or not, they still like YOU so who cares?
its just like not being cool because u drive an automatic instead of a manul. its stupid. if ppl rip u for it, **** em. tell them that, unlike them, at least u hav the strength of character to be proud of urself and who u r and what u like and i fthey dont like it, its their problem.

Define "cool"... at least you're not listening to that rap crap that suddenly makes it cool to have gold teeth... If you truely enjoy hardcore then what does it matter what others think? music taste is personal!

Maybe the tunes your playing are an extremely cheesy example of hardcore. The type people like to rip the piss out of most.
More than likely ill get ripped for my own opinion but personally I think that the only hardcore any mainstream person would give a chance (from experience) is the newer style vocal trance hardcore.
Proper 'old skool rave style' hardcore really is dead like cmon you can gangbang up and argue all you want but its hardly gonna worry anyone in your small minority. What does it take to tell someone these days that early ninetees 'rave' music sounds dated, shit, tacky as fuk and embarrasing by todays standards of music production capabilities. CMON FS. Old skool rave these days is for hippys with bleached 2-tone long sleeve t-shirts who live in a 1 birth 70s style caravan in the middle of a field high on mushrooms wearing a peace symbol & VW badge necklace.
A new Strongbow advert comes to mind. A cd player pumping 'Technohead - I wanna be a hippy' and then the 2 arrows peirce thru the very heart of it hahahaha 
Seriously tho, tunes like that are DEAD

yeah some people in my family don't like the hardcor that i listen too but thats there problem, i love hardcore way to much and anyone who ripps me off for listening to it can go jump!

Yeah I love hardcore, it dosent bother me if someone else says I dont like that etc... but thats other peoples opinions, everyone has their own music taste.
One of the people that I work with (who is a complete cock) Had an argument with me a while back about why electronic music is talentless and sucks. I just told him that your not in primary school anymore and if your going to take it up with me ill see you behind the canteen at little lunch.
I mean seriously the only people that rip on it are the tools that dont understand music diversity and respect other peoples taste in music.
Everyone is different, why cant some people realise that!

"Is hardcore cool?" Everyones perspective on what's "cool" is completely different, who cares if other people don't like what you listen to.
