I am one of many people who has decided to kill myself slowly by smoking. And you might not have noticed but a few weeks ago it was ****in boiling hot. Theres two reasons to drive around with my window down. And anyway. Even with the windows up you can still hear my tunes cos i always listen to my tunes dead loud anyway!!!!!

Nope, bottom line is the fact that they're probably drunk. I listen to anything when I'm drunk.....even my gf crying at me for being happy, women are strange

The critics say all say it's bang bang boom boom, with grown adults listening to music jumping around with glowsticks and many taking drugs getting pilled up. In all honesty, that's correct.

My college course is music tech and its quality, one day we got to have decks setup and all bought are records in.

Mosta the lads are into grime and we've got a lotta mc's so they started out doin all that.

Then my mate done a dnb set and i finished up with a full on ruffneck and old gabber set, with loadsa the bangin dutch classics.

No complaints until my set and loadsa lecturers from other classes came in askin to get it turned down, fair play to mike my lecturer didnt stop me once or turn anythin down til i'd finished.

Hahahaha apparently loadsa people kept walkin past the studio room sayin how horrible the tunes were, but couple of the lads in my bit loved it. I dont give a flyin f*ck at end of the day i love harsh hardcore and it makes me laugh how much other people hate it.

Luna C's stuff always goes down a treat with everyone though, loadsa the Dnb types love it cos a lots not too cheesy and really random and fun to mix.

But aye about pilled up ravers with glowsticks, it's never gonna look cool is it and there is a lotta weirdos at hardcore raves.

But if you enjoy it so f*ck, you cant have a laugh like you can at raves in normal clubs. My tastes in music have changed a hell of a lot, but i still enjoy goin out to see mates and get the adrenaline rush of bouncin to fast and hard music.

Now who's stereotyping?

You moan when people do it about hardcore but you've jus done it about garage/grime yourself.

I used to think it was all shit and like you say, but i've had to get to no it livin round here and a lot of it's pretty decent music.

Some of the mc's are extremely talented and can put down on words thoughts and stories i'd love to be able to do.

My wee mate shax is incredible he's got pages and pages of lyrics about allsorts, not jus violence and gangs and that but loadsa diff parts of life.

You sayin its all ******** about "shooting people and smoking a zute" is just as true as someone sayin all uk hardcore is cheesy lyrics about "flying and angels in wonderland of xtc".

I.E it's half true but your missing out a lot of the better details and concentrating on the worst

Someone says to me 'Hardcores shit and cheesy and it all sounds the same'. So i say what do you like?
They say 'drum n bass'. So i say thats tuneless, stupid bass noises and all the tunes sound the same.

Someone says to me 'Hardcores naff and has gay singing in it'
So I say what do you like?
They say 'garage'. So i say it sounds like music you make on your mobile phone and has ******** lyrics about 'zutes' n guns.

Somone says to me 'Hardcores wank'
So i say waht do you like?
They say 'rock'. So i say its a load of sweaty, hairy arsed pricks screaming and playing anything on their guitars as long as it sounds heavy.

P.S. I do actually really like drum n bass, garage and rock!!!

....of course, if someone's slagging off Hardcore you can ask them what music they like and

when they've answered,

you look into their eyes,

then slowly look them up and down and say

"....mmmn...."

i live in canada and get smashed all the time for hardcore. even in the toronto scene, it's always been cool to smash on happy hardcore even tho it's gotten to be huge here. people just want something to hate on.

but like at school, just playing it quietly thru headphones people would just smash it.

and yeah. it will never be cool. people who have never experienced it the way it's meant to be think that they are just fast gay sounding love songs. just the name sounds gay. happy hardcore? i just tell people UK hardcore when they ask because it sounds a little less. gay.

HHC will never be cool. but i'll still listen to it every day.

i feel sorry for all the people who dont know what they are MISSING OUT ON!!

Huh? Where you from? Yorkshire or summit!?! Different over here well, if its hardcore bangin its all the new stuff, usually bonkers compilations. I havent heard anyone ever play early 90s hardcore goin past me or at any of the cruises I go to.. trust me if you did u would get the most well deserved, biggest flamin of your life haha

Well deserved? Why's that? Personally I'd rather listen to what I want to instead of letting a set of ****ing boy racers dictate what I should be listening to. Biggest flaming of my life? I'd sit back and laugh at the lot of you sat with your slags in the back who are only there because of the cars.

I doubt I'd be going past you anyway, I wouldn't be seen dead at a cruise, anyway I'll let you get back to wanking over ure phat as fuk exhaust maaattee!! ha ha ha

I play HHC all the time in my place, open windows, with a tee-shirt that says:
Renegade V: Raver, and people tell me to take it off when I walk around in public with it on. But do I care what other people think about me loving HHC.
No way!
Many people have said this and I will repeat it.

HHC will never be cool, but that won't stop me listening to it every day for the rest of my life
