Re-con never pushed hardcore forward, just he was the first one doing it that gainec commericial success. Plenty of people were doing it before he started it.

His early stuff was great though, especially 'Finally'.

Baldo, same boat as you mate. Not listened to hardcore in 18 months or so but everything I've listened to is just the same shit with slightly altered lyrics. Hardcore Underground 2 could be different.

Been cracking out Luna-C supasets lately actually, but I don't really class them as 'hardcore' as there is so much variety on them which is what makes them still enjoyable to listen to after all this time.

Why is it that all these new members only know the names Hixxy, Re-Con, Breeze, & Styles? Ever heard of Seduction? What about Fracus? Brisk? Ham? Dougal? I am also getting tired of people referring "Trancecore" to the 2000-2003 sound of Happy(UK) Hardcore! Trancecore was the name in 1997-1999 for what we call Freeform in today's time. Yall have been using Ishkur's guide too much.

hahaha aye using cheesy electro house synths instead of cheesy trance ones is most certainly not pushing the boundaries of electronic music.

I know I should, always loved Darwin's, Arkitech's, Kurt's and Stromtropper's stuff. But just haven't got round to it yet.

Aye is a bit silly not to call them hardcore as the main compostion is predominantly hardcore. However I always found that they were enjoyable and still are now is the non-hardcore songs in them. The D&B or breaks that kicked in were always the highlights as it kept the mixes fresh and stopped them becoming repetitive.

As far as downloading them http://www.kniteforcerevolution.com/download.html that has SupaSet 4 & 5

Also http://www.happyhardcore.com/forums/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=37274&SearchTerms=eruption for last months set on eruption, it's a belter aswell.

EDIT: Someone know where to download the first 3 SupaSet's from? When I searched for them all i got was links to t0rrents for them.

When it goes up, I will also be putting up Supaset 6 to download in 320MP3 format, and also (if I get it done) my ultimate old skool mix. I have been meaning to do a mix of all the classic, and not so classic, old skool euro - Beltram / T99 / Praga Kahn era. It will probably be about 3 hours long lol…
More to come as its done….
