Alright, so I'm only 15 as of now and I got offered my first ever serious gig at a Hookah Bar over myspace, but I have no DJ equipment yet! =[
Sucked having to reply saying I'm a total n00b with no equipment yet (saving up for hardcore mixing cdjs/mixer)...
Any words of comfort for a n00b?

Uh. How did you get the gig if you have no equipment to make the mix?

how are you going to dj if you dont know how to dj? remixing isn't djing
and your "remixes" appear to just be a bunch of tracks ripped off entirely and slowed down or sped with random garbage thrown over them, or just two tracks put together...

im just sad i got offered something cool and had to turn it down. And lets be honest here, playing top 40 tracks isn't that hard to learn.
and i do the best i can with Magix(shitty music production program) as of now, can't afford the real stuff right now.So I just put what I think sounds cool up :]

well my short term game plan is getting the gear, practice practice practice all that I can with mixing, and do small gigs on the side.
Long term wise I'm keeping an open mind, but for sure moving because there isn't a popular demand for electronic music in general around here(Cleveland area) that I know of

I admire your gumption, but you need to get the terminology straight.
Mixing is different than production. They are two completely different things.

altering two songs together and then putting your name on it is actually called stealing
production is making a song from scratch, perhaps using samples, or remixing something
mixing is doing a set, where you play a series of songs one after another, transitioning them together

I actually have no idea what that is...
You just randomly cut in and out of tracks, randomly slow down/speed up, play off beat samples, etc.
You barely do anything to the songs you are "remixing".
Take some time to learn proper mixing, production, and what I like to call "not taking credit for other people's work".
To start off:
You don't remix a song by taking the original and playing stuff over it, you start with an empty project file and maybe some samples or vocals from the original.
You don't mix a set in something like Magix or FL Studio. You use either two turntables/cdjs and a mixer or something like Traktor and mix in real time.
For examples look stuff up on YouTube. DJ Cotts has some videos of his mixing, and you can also see people using FL Studio the way it was meant to be used.
Not to say you shouldn't be creative but at least learn the common method.

That's not mixing. If you are using FL Studio or any production studio to "mix" you are not mixing. Not by any standards.
What you are approaching is the concept of a live PA, but that's using bits and pieces of your own material with something like Ableton Live to create the effect of producing a track live.
This isn't original material, it's badly spliced together tracks that you like. It's not mixing, because you didn't mix it in realtime.
Anything else?
