"all the producers should work should work on a compilation together & call it The Past, The Present, The Future & we can produce some old sounding tracks, some up to date tracks & some tracks that we think will shape the future!"

i love this idea - would be even better if they were all un-signed producers too.
give us a chance to showcase some tunes, as long as its all work we dont mind putting forward for free download - no copywrite issues... might even annoy a few of the ones asking money for albums ;)

that said - its quite close to the idea of Crush On Hardcore - sept im assuming this album wouldnt be mixed which would be a good thing for the CDJ's out there, and of course the past, present and future part - would be great to produce some old sounding tracks..

....if we donate the type of track that we'd like to hear in the future

the chances are that no one else will like it....

@ DjTriquatra: Cheers m8, glad to see some good feedback on this I think this would be great for unknown producers on HHC.com to show what they're made of & at the end of the day, music speaks better than words & if I see another one of these topics, i'm going to

I'm going to start a new topic on the forums about this & see if we can get more people involved. I feel that I get lots of new ideas when theres something to work too & i'm sure people on here would agree.

Also, I don't mind giving the tracks away for nothing as its all good publicity for the artists on there but they must go as part of a set to let people hear the ideas behind this series.

I'm not sure if we should have it as a 3CD set or just a journey through tracks on the one CD. I suppose it all depends on the feedback received.

Anyone that would like to help with this idea in any way, leave a reply on the new topic which will be up very soon;-) Cheers

@ Ionosphere: Yes, but if something that we try catches on then people will know where it started & I think they'd have to be pretty narrow minded not to even give it a listen

maybe you've listened to mine.

i'm all for a collab, just make sure it's quality over quantity. the only reason why i am the way about proper mixing is simple. i used to post shitty mixes on this site. also shitty tunes as well. i was also a moderator and silver didn't want the moderators posting sub par product. so i practiced. and i practiced for a very long time until i was able to produce a product that was worth being put on this site. now mind you that was waaaay before the talent pool was clogged with everyone wanting to be a dj.

i began putting good mixes on the forums, and also had a mix on the radio, and also played live on the north american hardcore movement. long story short i play out all the time and have been doing it for years now.

only reason why i'm critical on mixing is because i truly believe that it is one of the only things that hardcore has left going for it.

proper mixing is crucial for this genre.

when you get the clogged talent pool putting up mixes that are not mixed well it puts on the appearance that just about anyone can do it and then what do you know? you have a bunch of shitty djs everywhere and the ones that actually know what the hell they are doing are no longer getting booked anymore and then tada!

nobody wants to see or hear a shitty dj.

if the producers want to produce shit music, and the crappy djs want to play it then fine, thats going to be the way you will watch your genre die.

i promote proper mixing.

if that makes me a dick then so be it.

@ Type R:

I agree with you 100% mate I thought you were hinting that my mixing was s**t! I've been djing for a good few years now & I think my mixing has came on leaps & bounds since I started. I've also started my own radio station so i'm not just half assing it & calling myself a DJ because I put mixes up here.

I'm trying to do my part for our scene & my radio is only the start of it! I plan to run events in the future & start up my own Record label but I know that my station can be the center of all that & i'm working my ass off to get it recognised.

I hope you check our CD out when its finished & I hope you find something on there that you like & the same goes for everyone else. I want everyone to take something from this CD seeing as the styles are going to be so widespread & it might inspire more people to give production a go

the new sound of hardcore makes me so angry, all these clueless teens who go to thse 'htid' clubs. they don't have a clue where the music came from, they probably think hardcore was invented by dj breeze and styles in 2004 or somthing.

i have a right to be angry about the current state of hardcore

What makes you assume everybody but you is so clueless about everything? Once again, you're not the center of the universe, and nobody is already enlightened when getting into a scene. We all stumbled upon a scene moving and in perpetual change, and its up to us to go and look deeper into the roots of the genre to discover what we missed on.

You have to realise though, whatever makes the roots of a genre is in the past and is not coming back.

The thing is there are alot of people who don't know about the scene's routes but then again, how many people know all about how Hip Hop started or Rock? It seems to alot of people music just apears!

It does annoy me when you get HTID types who dismiss Old Skool but it is only a few. I bet you get loads at the HTID Ravers who like both styles!

It annoys me when you get Rankin 'fans' who think that speedup-computer-core is Happy Hardcore

is there any way to ban these damn topics for good? it is extremely annoying that every 2-3 weeks somebody has to waste good forum space on another 1 of these topics, but i'll still put in my 2 cents.

NO, HARDCORE WILL NEVER HIT THE ROCKS, IT WILL NEVER DIE!!!!

there may be times just like everyone says 99-00 was slow that it will lose popularity and all that stuff (it's like a recession in the economy). but that doesn't mean it's nearing death

hardcore djs becoming "commercial" is never gonna kill hardcore, if anything it encourages djs and fans to react to clubcore-type music by helping the music evolve to something new and totally badass! yes the music is NOT anything like the mid 90s (we can basically drop the "happy" in the new stuff out there) but that is what happens in music, it evolves!

u don't hear rap/hiphop sounding the same now as it did in the 90s, hell or even mainstream pop! will the oldskool style ever come back? not completely, but like all music sometimes ppl will take some of the old skool elements and incorporate that into the new styles of hardcore. and i'm sure there are already tracks out there that do have that, i just can't think of them off the top of my head!

so PLEASE STOP CREATING REPETITIVE TOPICS, SO WHAT IF U R NEW! lol

ok STAY AWAY FROM WIKIPEDIA

any arse (i usually say ass cuz i'm American but i've overplayed it in life lol) can go in there and type whatever the hell they want! some of it is true, but it's better to play it safe. so plz don't quote wikipedia and if u do use it, how bout clikin on the external links that have available since those list the sources that they use to write the whole page on whatever it is u searched.

even then u can't exactly take it as a fact anyways because you would have to survey everyone who listens to music with 4/4 beats to make such an assumption

Haha, jesus 95, I've been lurking on these forums for a while, and I swear I must have seen you complain about the current state of hardcore over a million times...it's getting old buddy, we all have our opinions, but restating it every thread isn't going to change anything. Don't get me wrong, hardcore these days can be better imo, but I just keep my mouth shut and if I don't like something I don't listen to it. It's such a small scene, why devide ourselves? We're all hardcore. Oldschool, newschool, who cares...if you like oldschool, keep listening to it and shut up.
