i prefer the old stuff
cus 90% of the tunes back then were more vocal orientated amd i like something to sing along to.
new hardcore only has about 20% vocal tunes.
so there's less to sing to nowadays.

take a look around all the people getting down.
hardcore id the sound and were underground.
were underground.

I like both equally. Old stuff has more vocal and piano. New stuff sounds a bit more like trance.

I used to be a raver, used to take lots of E. Now I just smoke weed, and you know I will Succeed. :)

I prefer the new stuff, just because I got into Hardcore only 2 years ago.

Without a doubt 1995-98 were the best years in Hardcore. The newer stuff is brilliant but none of it compares to the older stuff imo :)

I tend to lean towards the older classics, and I more or less agree with Hard2Get on this one. However Some of the newer vocal tracks are KILLER. I love pretty much anything as long as it's hardcore though.

Well old stuff has it qualities, but I prefer the newer stuff. Its somewhat faster better produced and of a higher quality. The old stuff uses to much Amen breaks, practically every Hardcore song from 1991 to about 1994 used this break.

=) 'ardcore!

^^ the amen break is the breakbeat sample taken from the winston's "amen brother" 70's funk tune, which was used in most ragga jungle tunes in 94 & 95

but 91 & 92 songs didnt really it at all. maybe they did in 93, but those songs were usually more on the darkside jungle tip

and whats wrong with amen tunes? they're fun, and rolling

I kinda liked that rough sound & most importantly it was fresh sounding-most HHC now is a little too clinical for my liking (though I still luv it all!).
