went to a few back in the states, havent been able to get to any since getting back to england - went to creamfields last year and am planning on going back again this year - if i go to any hardcore events it'll be the freeformation ones - but they tend to be in london, which is a bit of a travel!
the first part of this year is taken up with the wedding, but after that i'll be able to get out more - HTID in blackpool would be an easy one for me to get to, i didnt know they were going there, got me thinking about it now..
£17.50 on the train to blackpool, tickets cost £15.50
so yeah...it'd cost me about £35 to go...which is pretty cheep to be honest, but i dont really think its worth it for that line-up...
now my fiancees is telling me that she wants to come, so she can stay in a hotel with our boy whilst i go out - and then spend the day around blackpool pleasure beach...
hmmmm anyone else going?

I'm in Houston, TX USA and haven't been 2 a rave in almost 9yrs and probably wouldn't go back to one anytime soon. I'm 26 right now and most ppl r so young in the scene these days i'd feel so out of place if i go 2 1. back then they didn't have many hardcore artists, and i was too ****ed up on stuff to even notice what i was listenin to sometimes.
but they do have events that have hardcore djs somewhere in the dallas area. S3RL was there back in october and november and if comes back to TX, I'm definitely going no matter what!

I have been to a few but nothing big... No fairgrounds & no fairground music or music on the harder end of the scale so I rarely bother...

Never, love Hardcore but never been to an event. Same goes for other styles I'm into, most notebly Drum and Bass. Where I am from (north-east UK) these scenes have a very 'chav' following, particularly wth Hardcore and the events are mostly full of kids looking for a fight.
Getting a bit old now anyway, love the music but the local pub will do for me!

believe it or not it could b possible. toward the end of the scene here in houston the electronica clubs were being invaded by asian gangs and they started a good number of fights. in fact 1 of my favorite rave clubs we had was gotham, and someone got shot there. every1 believed it was gang initiated.
but to add on what i said, the chance of me going to events with guest djs (not raves) are pretty slim now, seeing as the only dj here in the US i wanted 2 c was DJ irene, and her music has gone to total shit!!!! she used to be a hard house and progressive trance dj, and she now does electro house only, and it sounds so retarded!
o well maybe there's still hope for DJ venom!

We haven't really got a scene here, I was only at one Hardcore Rave in my life, and it was pretty.. shit. Entry doesn't cost anything ( only around € 5 ) since nobody is interested in this kind of music here, and the lineup is always shitty too. So yeah, not worth going there, and most of the time the Hardcore events here ( if they are any ) are in the worst clubs of the city … I remember when I was there, the speakers didn't have any bass. Poor quality. And yesterday I was in a club, where Drum & Bass was played and today I'm deaf. Isn't Hardcore suposed to be harder, louder and more hardcore than Drum & Bass ? Yes it is.
Conclusion in one sentence : No I don't go to hardcore events because we don't have any good DJs and events over here.

Id say dnb is harder than most hardcore these days!
i cant get why hardcore isnt massive in other countries other than the uk or holland! It pisses all over any other dance genre, gets u up rockin, makes u happy when ur down!!

i agree it has a positive vibe to it. but gabber seems to be the most popular worldwide. i like it and all and only a few tracks at a time, but after awhile it starts sounding suicidal

They are even Trance or normal Techno tracks that are harder than Hardcore. And I when I say Trance I don't mean Hard Trance.
