haha! I couldn't agree more as that was the main reaosn why I ignored these boards for the longest while. I guess it also explains the jaded bitterness that is rampant around here =P

In the last year the only 2 100% hardcore nights I've been to was Subliminal Discharge in may last year and a wee oldskool mokum night in amsterdam last November.
Go to plenty of parties that play a bit of bangin hardcore techno but also acid techno, hard dnb, oldskool, electronica etc. Much better that way the get far too bored listenin to u hardcore or nu style all night.
The only night I go to with 100% one music style is Techno, cos theres enough variety in that genre to keep me entertained. Go to a load of dubstep nights which i ****in love the music but always wish would play some Techno or that aswell 6 hours plus of one kind of music isn't ideal for me.

I agree on the just one-genre all night part.
I mean, okay. You like the music, so do I. But I can't remember one time where I listen to one genre, and only one, when I'm listening to music. Even when I mix, or listen to people's mixes, I like to hear variety.

I used to go to ATLEAST 2 raves a month, but since NYE i havent been to any :'(. Reason being is i dont like doing drugs at raves that much because it doesnt feel a safe enviroment to me and i dont want my head getting pickled by some wanker or "Bad boi".
Idrather have my wits about me so i can deal with things like that. And going straight headed and dancing like i do for 8 hours really ****ing hurts BELIVE ME!
Going NBR in derby on the 4th of April though because were sort of having a reunion with allt he old ravin crew because we seem to of all gone our seperate ways since NYE......

Wow reading this thread has made me feel really lucky. Living in London there were/are always lots of options each month for a good night out. Even when I went to uni there was stuff going on in Bristol and if there was nothing on there I had been known to decide at the last min to jump on a train to London!
Used to go to something hardcore/hard dance at least once a month but now its more like a couple of times a year. Westfest was fun last year and i'm off to Tranz-mission in April at the Ally Pally :)

I'm off to HTID in blackpool also, looking forward to it. Heard the Syndicate's a rough joint though?
It all depends what you call rough?
mm yeah, you'll come across rough if you goto a free party, they make organised events look like a tea party. and especially hardcore, ive seen basicly no trouble at all at any of the hardcore nights ive been to. obviously the odd d*ickhead will kick off from time to time but i wouldnt say its a regular occurance.
on a side-note...
HARDCORE WEEKENDER IS APPROACHING!!!!
