I'm starting this thread to look beyond the disappointment of this years bonkers...
First issue is the title. When I uploaded my Bonkers: Original Hardcore, iTunes saved it automatically as Bonkers 18: The Original Hardcore.
Will the next edition of Bonkers be called Bonkers 19: etc, or Bonkers 2?
Secondly, the DJ line-up. Will Hixxy, Sharkey and Unknown do the next one? Hixxy and Sharkey are the constants in the quation and its unlikely AATW would not utilise them, but the third slot is questionable. Will AATW use a due or simply use one DJ? and who'd it be.
Lastly, the cover. I noticed that this has a simple pattern with a logo in the middle. Will the second edition be the same but with a new colour scheme and different pattern? If so, they'd be employing a rather boring 'MOS: Euphoria' style of cover, if you get me.

ive been wondering this for a few days now lol
all really good questions though...
now these questions have been asked, i hope this is the last bonkers thread for a while, each time one is released about 1500 new threads are made, and the last one is usually "what will the next bonkers hold"
so its nice to see this.. one last thread about bonkers... until the next one rolls around lol

Bonkers is the most talked about hardcore related subject on theses boards. Your questions i cant answer, bonkers is good hands imo, one of the biggest labels in the world that have the money to throw at it. Also, hows this for a prediction for the future of bonkers, BONKERS : LIVE?
The future of bonkers can only substain a healthy life if the music is good

it would be about 4 hours in and they would be fixing the mixdown on the first song.. lol
plus a whole set of tracks produced by darren styles would get boring very fast

I have a hunch that the next bonkers will go back to cartoon characters on the cover and i believe it will be called Bonkers 2: Hardcore _______ as for the DJ's they'll keep Sharkey not to sure about Hixxy though, he seems to be rather redundant when it comes to mixes these days except for CLXH (thats where he belongs)

I'd like to see AATW go a bit off the normal path with bonkers and be innovative with some different djs

Interesting questions
1) Didn't Bonkers The Rezurrection have no number (it was supposed to be number 8) yet the next album "The Hardcore Mutation" was classified as Number 9. This was when the nu-skool hardcore was just beginning to develop and grow. Maybe AATW might classify the next Bonkers album as number 19.
2) Indeed Hixxy and Sharkey are almost constant in the line up although they have been absent on a couple of occasions. But the fromat of the Bonkers series is never fixed and sometimes they might introduce Back 2 Back mixes, 4CDs and have a history of bringing in an abundance of different DJs like Sy, Unknown, Vibes, Recon, Breeze, Styles, Neophyte, Scott Brown, Brisk, Ham, Kevin Energy, Marc Smith to the series.
3) There seem to be fewer and fewer hardcore albums that use cartoon designs on their album covers in the last few years. I wonder if AATW think the cartoon designs are too childish and want to make the design a bit more serious. We'll have to wait and see, remember when Bonkers 16 had that soda can as that the main artwork but then the series returned back to the cartoon designs of the DJs.

They should bring back Scott Brown. I might actually buy it were he to mix a CD on it.
