why does everything have to be in euros as well? most of the people on here are british, australian or american =P
my first job was mowing lawns, best job ever. it was tax free and I made my own hours. after that I worked for eli lilly during the summer.
right now I'm a lead microbiologist...just wish I got paid to change diapers at home =P

yeah i was about to say about the euros thing...
my first job was surprisingly enough a residency in a nightclub when i was 15 years old - no, it wasnt legit, but as we lived on an island nobody cared - CD decks, first hour warmup stuff, chart/house, second hour Hard House/Hard Trance
£10an hour for 2 hours work 2 or 3 nights a week depending on the week, somthing i enjoyed doing - was enjoyable :)
moved to the states, didnt work for a year then did 4 years lead technician work for Firedog (fixing home PCs, network setups, the usual) - sold everything, moved back to england with just the clothes on my back and my vinyl (same way when i moved to the states in the first place haha) worked/lived in a hotel with my gf (now wife) for a year saving money so we could kickstart ourselves again...
the job i do now (for almost a year) - I recently put in for a "transfer" from the video editing dept, to the web design/coding dept as its better money.
so yeah - insted of editing the porn, i now just have to design the porn sites haha

Good luck on landing the job. :)
My first job was at 16. I worked for a Little Caesars Pizza for a whooping $6.50/hr.
I bought my first set with that job. :D
I currently work for a beer distribution company for a more impressive(but still barley keeps even the penny-pinching Californian afloat) $10.50/hr

Currently still at my first job, McDonalds
$8.50 an hour
it was litteraly the last place I tried in the whole city, really hard to find jobs here
were not even hiring right now, I hate to say it but I was lucky to get this job
but the job it's self is really not bad, it's a tiny restaurant with really slack mangers
we get to blast the radio, swear, throw things, have a decent time
I eat as much crap as I want ( Mmm bacon )
but the uniforms........... worst part about and food chain ):

I'm applying for a job at an IT place since they'll be hiring soon. Well, I WILL be if I can just get over being scared and fill out the darn application already. -_-
On an unrelated note, my dad used to work at a place called Bonanza Steakhouse when he was a teen. He had a pair of pants that were literally so soaked in grease that they came close to standing up on their own, and his mom wouldn't let him wash them since they would destroy the washer. Seriously.

Its the currency in 16 countries and 325 million of the western world use it :P
Anyway, atomsk you need to watch Clerks to get in the right mood. My first job was a pizza delivery guy, going around with a scooter in the winter was pretty painful.

I think we're all aware of the value of the US $ mate ;)
Nothing wrong with working for a fast food chain if you're still at school. Loads of my mates did it for a bit of spare cash. Nothing wrong with working for one all your life I guess as long as you aren't still bottom of the ranks!
My first job was walking dogs for the local kennel. Pay was shit but I was still in education and I actually really enjoyed it. I live right on the Chiltern Hills so it's really nice to go walking. :) There was a huge, white, long haired German Shepherd, x police dog there that I absolutely fell in love with but it got put down for biting someone (even though it was trained/ordered to do so). :’( Disgusting.
