I'm currently an intern at a Computer Networking Company (As it is my major I'm in), the school got me the internship (I got to choose between about 10).

If I keep doing good, they'll hire me afterwards.

And money is money! It isn't low to work at a Fast Food restaurant, it's money! You can be picky and not have any income, or you can work and get money. Rather have money over not having it in this world.

they pay us to stay in school, like "hey come to school everyday and work, you get free money"
it pretty cool
and i only go for 3 hours, and not 9 like most schools

Some of my friends go to England with a hope of getting a job (and to increase the quality their love life lol), so it's not the best if u say there's also hard to find a decent job...

I would happily study for money, lol, sounds pretty cool.

When i had intership during my university years, i didnt have either a penny for it.:P Though experiencing the psychiatry as a psychologist, and not as a patient, worth every money.:D:D:D

Good luck with the interviews!

Atomsk is from the US but jobs are pretty thin on the ground over here as well with the recession going on right now.

Thanks, the interwiev went on well, and i have rather good expectations, to get the job! Not 100% yet though.

Oh, than i failed to notice, that he wasn't from the UK. Unfortunately the economic situation is rather bad everywhere. :( But I still try and force myself to think posetively.

I'm still waiting for the recession, so far i have gained a lot of money due to euribor being down. You would think that when construction is going down that the companies that design the buildings would be first to hit, but so far nothing.

I worked at a Burger King from July 2004-Sept. 2009. For 5 years, I sat back and kept my mouth shut on how the management treated us so in Spet. I finally said something about it and got fired. I have been out of work for a month, but I am currently waiting on a phone call from BlockBuster. I just got home from the job interview and she said if my background check comes back clean, then I can start. It won't be until Monday though, until I hear from them.

Good luck for getting the job! Yeah, hows the checking going there?

In Hungary, for some government positions they ask the applicants to send their "Moral Certificate" which we can require (for money ofc:P) and which shows that you are not in the database of the police.

I'm a little surprised with this.

Here, more or less no insurance company would accept an 18year old male who applied for a policy in an EVO. Even if they did, the premiums would be around £7k or something.

How lenient are insurance companies in the US with regards to car insurance for young drivers, or is car insurance not something that's mandatory

I just find it surprising that someone who'll be earning minimum wage could afford such a car, and to insure it. Suppose petrol won't be a problem, seeing how it's dirt cheap over there!
