has no-one realised that he's about to release 100 remixs of the full Evolution back catalouge?

including remixs from guys like Neophyte, Marc Smith, Slipmatt & a shitload more. He's also done a few himself. I feel like i'm repeating myself but this is a monster project & how can you expect much from him when he's been putting his time into this? The man is human believe it or not.

For one, the mixing was abysmal. Off-key mixes with the bass left in, clashing elements and bad level changes/drops. Horrible.

Then the tracks... Some really boring stuff on there, although I liked "written in the stars" an a few others. Scott has done some phenomenal mixes but this wasn't one of them.

imo there were some good tracks.. like Nu Foundations remix of Viroid, life as we know it and how many sukkas. I also liked that there were more artists on that cd.
Yeah he has done some great mixes one of my favourites was Bonkers 12. Love to see him on another album its been ages now wasn't the last one Masif Hardcore 2008?

100 remixes of his back cat? Sounds amazing!

My fav was definitely bonkers X.

How many sukkas was decent but how bad was the mix into it? Brutal.

Scott Brown's name is 'big' for all the right reasons. He create good music for more than 15 years and upheld his style throughout.

Other big names like Darren Styles are not created through hard graft, but are inflated through sugardaddy companies who pump the money into each release.

Total ********. How do you think he got in a position where a record label was willing to back him? Years of producing the biggest tunes in the scene.

Seriously. Producing/engineering quickly becomes manual labour when you've engineered hundreds of tracks.

Engineering is a job like any other. It requires a specific set of skills, training and consistent work/work ethic to be successful. There's a reason why most sketchy ravers get nowhere and professional/articulate/reliable people get far in this scene. Just look at the top boys right now...

hmm, can't say I agree with that. Just because the style of Hardcore thats popular isn't your cup of tea doesn't mean the scenes dieing. If anything the scenes booming! The world is now united in hardcore.
