Its snowing quite badly now, but i have to do college work here. Anyone else having issues?

We've had no snow at all. I think we're the only place in the UK that's not had or is getting any snow.

Wheelspin? I guess thats what we call "spin out" or what ever. It was sleeting the other day like really bad, with like 20-30mph winds, kinda sucks when you are driving a van without snow tires. It should be snowing where I'm at soon, but I love the snow.

what kinda car you got fluxx? do you know if it's front wheel drive?
if your driving in the snow I would invest in some winter tires, all seasons just dont cut it, and if your on summer tires thats real dangerous

Was -17 this morning when i went to work. At lunch break bought a new face mask (so far seems to be much better then a scarf when you're riding a bike), new hat and mittens that can fit under another pair of mittens. Not so cold anymore :)

The English don't have snow/winter tyres. Instead when it does snow everyone complains about it and everything comes to a stand still. True story. It always makes me laugh how Canadians etc can deal with severe snow every year without fail yet when we even get a mm of it people are completely lost and everything grinds to a halt.

It's not the best here in Wales, had about an inch this morning, meant to be pretty bad tomorrow though.

And it's not much better really here, where I live at least, in the States. If it rains, people do 10 under (and this goes for the people who ALREADY go 5-10 under for who knows why!), and turn slower then I do on my lawn mower. Secondly, if it snows, oh god forbid, they go 10-15 under and don't know what to do at all! Luckily we get usually good major street service if it snows a lot, and it's usually plowed and salted by time it's done at it's heaviest point.
Though, I can tell you being a truck with front wheel drive (and I didn't have sandbags in the back to add weight) SUCKS. I spun out three times, but luckily I had previous practice, all where because I wanted to not an accidental practice, and I can get out it pretty good. Now, if there's black ice covered in snow and I spin out, it's pretty tough to get it back together, but it's manageable as long as everyone doesn't freak out around me and slam on their brakes.. like most people do. Moral of this stupidly long story: If you have front wheel drive in a truck, put sandbags in the bed, because you'll lose control a lot if you don't.
Also, it's funny when I see people driving 4x4 thinking they can go 10+ over the speed limit, only to hit ice and spin out and hit something. It doesn't matter that you have control of all four wheels individually spinning, ice doesn't discriminate.
I don't know if any of that even exists across the ocean.

The 4x4 road warriors exist everywhere i think. Usually picking their children up from school 5 meters away from where they live.
