Also, IMO yes they should change the title. Call it just "Clubland X-Treme" or something broad like that.

The thing is though, the second AATW does that, their main buyer base of mainstream ravers who wear hardcore on their sleeves would instantly say "AW MAN NO WAY I'M BUYING THAT, how can I be HARDCORE TIL I DIE if I don't exclusively listen to hardcore!?! That's like supporting Fracus & Darwin, those DRUM N BASS loving POSERS".

(Seriously, I've seen people like this)

oh wonderful the beginnings of another 20+ page topic where we talk shit like grade school girls about another CXH album, yet we can only manage to produce 2ish pages of praising HU albums

Honestly first hearing this preview I thought that there was a lot of weird shit in there. But after a few more listens I do enjoy a lot of what's on there, with the exception of that track between 2:00 and 2:20ish. My god that was such a shit track when he threw it down during that hardcore takeover, and when he had that playing on his show at rough tempo last week.

But other than that i actually liked a lot of that stuff. I agree it's farfetched from what is considered hardcore these days, even from the usual dub/electro influences that we hear in today's more mainstream hardcore. But this kind of reminds me of what DNA tried to do over a decade ago when he got heavily criticized for it. I think that given some time, the more mainstream hardcore producers would eventually end up producing stuff that sounds like what's on Breeze's album, I just think he jumped the gun a bit too soon.

But in the end a 4 minute track crammed full of so many tracks isn't the best way to preview this. I'll wait until the longer previews for each track are out before I make my full assessment.

"This leans a bit too much towards D&B / drumstep for my liking, but I'm sure people will like it! Interesting listen anyway."

Don't mean to kiss ass but THIS is how you comment on a track.
It gets your point across without making you sound like a total dick.

Gonna have to say I agree - this isn't really hardcore anymore, but I think it's cool by itself.

I wish you the more extreme of you guys would stop with the 30 pages of essentially circlejerking.
Hardcore is NOT dying. Not ANYWHERE close. One ****ing album with non-hardcore means nothing.
The scene is still alive as hell, just look at all the stuff that came out on HU lately, and the upcoming stuff.

If you don't like it, say "I prefer ____" and move on. Don't make 400 comments about how the scene is turning to shit and Breeze worships Satan.

It's a forum and as long as we are on topic we can say what we like! That's the whole idea of a free forum and i agree that some non hardcore on an album is not a problem but an entire disk is a huge problem. It's false advertising for a start but it's not like anyone with a brain cell would ever believe that Breeze would fill his disk full of anything but drivel. This is the last one he is contracted to do so hopefully that fat-baby-eating-satan worshiper won't be doing another one and will find his true destiny as Skrillex's new testicle implant to make the other one on his neck symmetrical.

This is exactly what I think, I'm not bitching around about mixing different styles in one set since I do it myself but what's the deal to deliever one whole CD with d&b and dubstep? If he prefers to do these genres then he shouldnt appear on an hardcore album, it's simple as that. If like 40% and above of all tunes are not hardcore, why releasing it on CXH?

I'm glad Breeze is not like Atlas for Hardcore, he is just another pawn falling from checkboard.

Anyway, I'm just a bit disappointed about his trackselection, that's all.

Clubland has always been wanky commercial trance hardcore, that i've always been embarrassed to associate with the genre. Breeze actually seems to be doing something decent now, I'd actually want to dance too.
If people are still into grown men in there 30s singing about unicorns, castles in the sky and angels over wishy washy trance leads, fair enough, I don't judge you for that. I understand that for better or worse, and it's definitely worse, that's what hardcore turned into for a few miserable years. I'm sure people will still churn this stuff out, I'm just happy at least some people are making stuff I can dance too.

I don't really like breaks either, but I'd rather listen to a HU album than clubland xtreme hardcore.

Hardcore's dying? how is 6 to 8 guys/girls out of 100+ making drumstepcore killing hardcore? =P

For my opinion , well i know make "dubcore" or Drum And Bass and Dubstep, but the problem is Breeze. He play the music he likes but he not respect the opinions of the "haters" . I Like Hardcore , and I Like Drum&Bass but this is a CD OF HARDCOOREE! . Sorry but This is Hardcore?

I Like the new style of the Darren Styles or Klubfiller Its Very Great. But if you want follow with the electro style like breeze. Go out of Hardcore And This Okay.

Gammer put in the cd Breeze = Dubcore, only kidding but This is real.

Stop please. This is a style of music and the bass music is other okay?

I think the problem is that when you express your distaste by calling them a Satanist and a Skrillex testicle, they shut down to criticism.
Why would you listen to someone who's just throwing insults? "This sux m8 u sux m8" is not helping them in any way, and im sure they've gotten it so often they automatically just disregard the opinion.

No, the point is to share your opinions respectfully, like adults. If this was truly a "free forum" there would not be mods.
