I was only trying to lighten the mood! I wasn't suggesting this album was "gay". I'm probo's gonna by it. I love gays anyway. Just a little FYI.

I don't actually find it unbearable as such. I was just saying that to DMS. I had to factor the word "totes" in to piss him off, and that was the only way I could do it. Dean has been scolding me across a plethora of social media for using it.

I think I am not the only person which opinion is that you can not simply define electronic genres only by the speed.
For me Hardcore always needs a strong melody (either if you have an uplifting one like in UK/Happy Hardcore or a dark one like in Gabber). It doesn't matter what kind off beat you have (Breakbeat, soft or hard 4 to the floor). But all these new influences (Dubstep, Minimal, some Electro) define themselve lacking of such a melody. Especially Dubstep only is heavy distorted sound. I am unable to notice any possible intersection between both genres. They're just way too oppositional!
You can't combine Speedcore and Ambient Trance as well, it simply doesn't work.
I personally think Hardcore should sound like Hardcore - not sped up Trance, House, Minima, Electro, Dubstep or whatever. I mean UK Hardcore (2000+) was fun, but still it can't beat the Happy Hardcore stuff of the 90's.
