I think I meet the criteria for this question lol. Flights depend on where your flying from, I'm from edinburgh so its more expensive than if your flying from London or another more populated area. Think my flights were about 180 return, you could probably get flights for 100 down south though. My apartment cost about 175 for 8 nights but theres much cheaper apartments availabe and you can stay for 7 nights. Wristbands for the week are 150 if you pay for them this month, they're 160 after. So basically I've paid roughly 500 to book everything but you can probably do it for 350-400.

Last year when I went I think I spent about 600 (roughly 700 euros), the vast majority of this was on booze. We mostly ate at burger king and mcdonalds to be honest lol, there's some nice restaurants as well though in particular the Orient Express on the beach front. The drinks in the club are quite pricey (about 5 euros for a bottle of corona if i remember right) There's a pub right next door to the club that does 2 vodka and red bulls for 7 euros which is a bit cheaper than the club. Every time we fancied a break we went to this pub for a few drinks (was also a great place to meet DJ's and MC's). This year our apartments are just across the road from the club so we'll be stocking up on drink and heading back to the apartments in between sets probably.

Anyway the bottom line is that if you're a heavy drinker then your looking at roughly just over a grand all in, which is worth it!

Nice one for all the information chaps, much appreciated.

I'm not working at the moment, so it's looking pretty much out of the question this year. But in terms of what I consider acceptable to spend for a week's holiday, a grand is no worries at all. I went to Ibiza in 2008 and did 1,800 euros just in spending money :-/ Needless to say, I had an unreal time/felt like I was going to die for about ten days after.

I will get to one, one day. Probably not this year. Be interesting to see where the music goes over the next year as well, as I'm not massively keen on a fair few of the more established chaps at the moment.

Would be fcuking unreal to rave for a week though lol. Especially to meet up with a load of you guys out there - we could get seriously messy.

Yes you NEED to get yourself out there one year mate we would get seriously ****ed up! :-)

I went last year for the first time since the very first year in 2007 and I have to admit I'd lost a lot of interest and passion in hardcore for a couple of years before I went. I went with the expectation that this would be the last of my raving days. It turned out to be quite the opposite and I'm now back into hardcore just as much as I was before. Whats more is I dragged my girlfriend along with me and she wasn't even really into hardcore in the first place, she now loves it as much as me! It really is that good

Ha ha!! We certainly would! I'll have to do it one day man, have to.

Hardcore is so bloody powerful, isn't it? Like, what you've said there about it completely turning the tables for you, and getting your missus involved as well. Feel so lucky that I like it the way I do, and that I like it at all!

Yes it would be great if they could change the location, Lloret de Mar is a shithole I would never go there for a normal holiday. I guess the only reason they have it there is because it is so cheap.

Wow! Commitment man! But yeah, having it in the same place every year is probably convenient for them, but if you're a regular it must be a bit like "Yeah, this is good fun - but a change of scenery wouldn't go a miss!"

I remember once (maybe twice?) there was a weekend rave to Amsterdam. Like, ferry overnight, raving on the ship - then a day in Amsterdam, then ferry back overnight again with another rave. How ****ing messy would that have been. Multiple man-overboards, surely.

I dunno i quite like that it's in the same place every year. I mean, lloret really is a shithole you're not wrong, but i kinda like knowing everywhere to go. I don't really like normal holidays so i only go places like htid or ibiza. I just like knowing which bars to go in and where everyone will be during the day etc. So if the missus is asleep i can go find people.

But when htid is there it's the best place in the world! A thousand ravers in such a small place means wherever you go theres always someone to chat to.

It's amazing. We weren't gonna go but i couldn't face the thought of being at home when i know it's going on.

It's cost us about 800 all in and we'll be taking about 800 - 1000 spending money. Last year we went nuts thinking it'd be our last and spent about 2000 while we were there! You can do it proper cheap though if you book with htid and aren't bothered where you stay. Get Hotel with breakfast and evening meal and week wristband all in with them. We book an appartment so we can cook for ourselves etc.

You should definitely go!

Yea you can seriously do it cheap especially if you cut your drinking. I didn't drink all that much mainly because I didn't wanna turn into a drunken mess since I had no one to keep an eye on me. I think I spent no more than 500 euros while there. I stayed at bella dolores which is a small hotel with just the basics but it had working ac and hot water. Best thing about it was the proximity to the sea. It was just seconds walk. Plus its in a slightly more secluded area so you slept well.

And I like not paying extra for a place with buffet included because you'll never know if you'll wven like the food. There are way better burgers out there that will cost you less than a McDonald's or burger king meal.

But yea if I went again being a drunken mess will not be a problem lol. And I would definitely preparty more. Also if you go to the waterpark and yacht parties the drinks are included. Yea they're shit but you get a real good buzz of the vodka redbulls

You guys don't need to convince me about the fact that you can do it on the cheap if you try - the situation is that I don't have any expendable income whatsoever (in terms of big layouts like holidays). If I was working, I'd be able to go, no problem, and spunk whatever I ended up spunking. I'm basically extremely frugal in every day life (which is what has allowed me to still have a normal-ish social life whilst I've been unemployed [saving lots in my working years]) - but when I go on holiday I tend to go mental and always budget for spending the top end of what's realistic.

2014 is looking like a definite. If I'm unemployed by then still I'll kill myself! I'll just simultaneously apply for several credit cards and come to HTID. Sign-off in a huge way. A week-long rave, climaxing in an ecstasy-ridden suicidal spiral. What a way to go.

lol, tell me about it. What I did at the actual rave was fine, it was the nine hours after that almost killed me.

I will be very tempted to join next year (depending on circumstances)
