Ooooosh what a night for the hungover Scotsman.
Unknown didn't show up because of a loss in his family (thoughts go out to him) so Ramos done kick off and a very good one at that. Joey riot and dj c also played amazing sets as well as Fracus & Darwin. Ashamed to say I missed al storms set :-(

Last night was epic! Darren styles set was the best of the week so far. Was mostly upfront with a lot of classics being played towards the end. MC Mayhem done the first 45 mins with storm doing the rest. New favourite tune - Darren Styles & Michael Scout - Without you, check this out on their soundcloud. Styles finished with his remix of cruising and the place went mental!
I'm not really into free form and AB & Douglas (I think!) were on straight after styles so I went for a much needed break when they were on.
Petruccio played a good set, a lot of his own stuff mixed in with Futureworld tunes.
Ben X-Treme & Outforce also played an amazing set, first time I've seen them live and was very impressed.
Breeze closed with a classics set. We were going to leave when he came on but had to stay when he opened with 'you're shining' really enjoyed his set.
Feeling quite fragile today but will be back on the dance floor in 4 hours for Al Storms mega anthems foam party. BOOM!

So jealous it's unreal. Sounds too good.
I've heard Without You before. It's okay-ish, to me. I'd have to hear it live before I really made my mind up. It's pretty vocal-heavy. Not a huge amount of music, if you know what I mean? I know exactly what it's like to not think much of a tune, hear it live and then it blows you away - so I'll hold judgement for a bit. :-)
A Breeze classics set - must of been pretty special!
Did you see A.B and Douglas?

Dude you don't know how f**king nuts I'm going right now for missing out. It's even worse once you've been there before.
And he said he skipped out on it I think
I'm noticing lots of classics sets being played out this year. I'm wondering if they're playing it safe this year or if they don't have enough new material of their own to play out?

Ahhh I bet it's horrible man! :-(

That's a shame, though, Jamie! Have you heard Freeform live much? It wasn't until I started hearing it at events that it REALLY started taking a hold on me. If you do have the opportunity to catch a Freeform set or two when you're out there, give it a try mate. :-) (Fair enough if you have already heard it live a fair bit and it doesn't do it for you).

Everyone loves a classics set! But yeah, DubCore/ElectroCore/CnutCore's prominence has definitely experienced a bit of a reduction over the last six months or so - so they could just be reacting to that.

Yea was especially surprised at hearing Breeze playing a classics set, seeing has how he's been defensive about the new stuff he's been playing the last year. He really was determined to push that sound, but odd that he hasn't so far. Last year I vaguely remember his set but it was and odd one his set would go back and forth playing hardcore and the dnb/dub/breakbeat stuff he's been into lately throughout the whole set it was a bit confusing and certainly many people went in and out of his set. I think he did a bit of that during the waterpark party but not too much was mostly hardcore.

I had exactly the same experience with his set at a London event called DanceKore in March 2012. I went in and out of the room about five times. Would have stayed in the smoking area if it wasn't too busy. I did manage to catch the 2011 update of 24/7 though, which I really like.
But we'll leave it at that for Breeze-bashing and DubCore-slating in this thread, shall we? Want this to be a positive thread about one of Hardcore's greatest spectacles! :-)

Yeah I've gave it a try before but it's just not for me, there's a couple of tunes I quite like but in general it's not really my thing.
Hixxy is suppose to be playing a classics set tonight as well. Breeze is on again so I assume he'll be playing his normal stuff tonight.

What's the latest, Jamie? Any special sets? How's the health?

Been a few good sets I've heard the last couple of nights. Went out last night and seen hixxy, scar and dougal. Was really impressed with hixxys set, he played some new bits which sounded amazing.
Scar if you see this I got you a new fan from France last night lol. He'd never heard of you before but we got him up on the dance floor for your set and he was impressed!
Only seen about 10 mins of dougal at the end of the night but it was sounding good.
Starting to feel the pace today to be honest, choked up with a cold which is doing my head in and obviously the self inflicted hangover lol. Also lloret de mar really is a shitehole. I already knew this but I'm just getting really bored of it now this being my 3rd visit. The club doesn't seem as busy this year so I'm guessing numbers are down. I'm sure they'd shoot up dramatically if the location was changed, appreciate that it's easier said than done though.
Anyway gammer night tonight and waterpark tomorrow so really looking forward to these.

A fan from France, was it Kevin???
I met him last year was the lone Frenchman there if I remember correctly. He's been to the last 2 HTID ITS so it would be weird that he had missed Sc@r twice. He's a great fellow a shame he knows no one to tag along with him. But a good number of people already know him!
And yea I noticed from the pics that the crowds are somewhat of a disappointment. I don't think it has anything to do with the club, I really think it's the lineup change this year. No 2nd room gabber was what did it in for them I believe.

Yes Kevin from Paris! We know him from last year also. Was with another French guy last night but yes he is here on his own. Good guy!
I think it's more to do with the location in general, the club is actually really good but the same can't be said for Lloret. I think a major change is needed to boost numbers and a location change is about as big a change as you can get. I'm sure the line up hasn't helped either though.
Another thing that annoys me is that they don't give you set times anymore. Just have to go into the club to see and its pot luck who's playing. Could plan the night so much better if you knew what time everyone was playing.
