This is a new upfront podcast with some of his material from his upcoming new album, fall 2014. Expect his set at EDC to be similar.

Most of it sounds like it's been released already.
I wonder if there will be any other djs playing a UK hardcore set that will be at EDC. It definitely wouldn't make me want to go any more if there were, but just curious is it's only him, or maybe they asked Rhythmics back to play, or someone better.
Also wonder if Q-Dance will have a stage, since Defqon.1 and this are not happening the same weekend like last year.

Rhythmics will not be there this year, but Darren Styles will play an exclusive new track from him.
Some tracks of the set have been released (Lights & Thunder remix), some are free releases (Zedd - Spectrum remix), some are unreleased (BT - Lifeline remix) and some other just plain new. I am sure many will not have heard a lot of them.

Everything in the podcast will be released this year. There are also a lot of free releases coming soon... e.g.
Darren Styles & Re-Con - Everday
Darren Styles - Qlimax (2014 Edit)
Birdy - The A Team (Darren Styles Bootleg)
and more...

You thought I knew what? All I know is things that get posted on here and social media. Far as I know there's not been a release schedule for Futureworld beyond the next couple of weeks.

It was always a mystery to me how d2kx had all this new information to post on USH, which was always accurate, but I could never find it myself!
Fair play though, he was rarely wrong, and it was as good as Styles or Hixxy themselves logging in and telling us.
Cheers d2kx!

I accused him of sucking top tier cock. No idea why. The atmosphere of hostility on USH probably got to me.
d2kx, I apologise retrospectively for being a dick a long time ago.

d2kx has always been a fantastic source of information when it comes to the 'raver baby' guys. You should post more on here dude :)
I tried to emulate your 'top tier' music thread on here but it's not really working ;)

That was for EDC London, this is for EDC Las Vegas. And you're still over a year late on that one, as Darren Style played at last year's EDC Las Vegas, as well as your bestie Rhythmics. AFAIK, there hasn't been a UK hardcore artist at EDC London, which totally makes no sense considering that's where the UK Hardcore scene is the strongest, and you would save money booking a DJ since they're travel costs would be significantly lower than if you brought them to the US.

I'm not sure about that one, the bigger raves rarely promote stuff down that way. Could be wrong though.

I mentioned it little over a week ago on another topic, after I got confirmation he's heading to EDC Las Vegas 2014, along with some other news: http://www.happyhardcore.com/forums/topic.asp?topic_id=65372&whichpage=2

I am, but not as much as during the Raver Baby Watch days on USH. I used to be disappointed about the state of UK Hardcore's release policy, lack of professionalism, lack of useful information on what's going on and started doing my own research and talking to the producers. It worked. I got more and more in contact with the relevant people and had what I wanted. I started Raver Baby Watch because I knew there were other people interested in this stuff, and posted what I had (except when I wasn't sure if producers would get angry at me about something). My disappointment with the lack of Raver Baby digital releases was very apparent, and I discussed this a lot with Alf (Technikore). When he and Hixxy ran into more and more problems (they were really close at one point), Alf sent me a CD with all the Raver Baby/unreleased/upfront Technikore material, I got digitals from Al Storm and even Breeze gave me a track he knew I was looking forward. Over time though, I posted fewer and fewer things because USH became one of the most unfriendly, unwelcoming, racist and intolerant places imaginable, even more so than before. Although after I stopped I got a lot of positive messages through social media, even from Alf (Technikore) asking me to continue elsewhere. A lot of what went wrong has been corrected with Future World, and I think the label is doing a great job spreading high-quality hardcore globally. I still get lots and lots of information on upcoming album/digital releases from Future World and a certain other well known label months ahead, but I don't want to spoil anything for them. Last but not least, the fact that this genre still exists is mindblowing. UK Hardcore has all the same discussions (oh no, dubstep/house/etc. influences are killing it; it isn't what it used to be; top tier are sellouts; etc.) that are *exactly the same* in the two other genres I love, like Hardstyle and Psytrance. Also in German HandsUp/Commercial Trance, which was huge here in Germany for a long time. HandsUp pretty much died, and producers in other genres moved on. Meanwhile, Darren Styles & Gammer are still doing UK Hardcore in 2014, where both of them had *several* offers and chances to become *big* names in other genres, but decided to stay with what they love, and both of them are more enthusiastic about Hardcore right now than ever before, and when Darren Styles & Gammer both release their long awaited, upfront artist albums in fall/winter, I hope people can appreciate how lucky we are. (yes, there are a lot more great people sticking with it over the years, but I picked DS & Gammer for a reason)
