Listen to his mixes from the 90s, through to present day.... This guy is ****in shocking with a mixer!!
He should easily hands down win the worst DJ in hardcore hands down!
How the **** has he had a career for like over 20 bloody years?
And he still plays the same set over and over, you'd think playing the same 20 tunes over a 20 year period he would of figured out how to master the art of mixing those same tunes with perfection.....

You're not going to find anyone who agrees that he is the worst DJ here. He is one of the best DJ's by far. He plays sets nothing like anyone else.

There is another DJ called DJ Vibes and he is one of the best men to walk the face of the planet. Which DJ Vibes are you on about? Not the DJ Vibes who made 'Music is so wonderful' and many other classics?

lol same one Smoogie you dumbass. If it was a totally different one he would have clarified it.
His sets are OK but I don't find anything about them that spectacular, just nostalgic since he does play nothing but old skool. There are some TX djs that I don't consider that great, but since we would probably focus on UK djs, I would put Klubfiller up there based solely on his ending set of HTID ITS. Oh and Squad-E.

Stop being a prat :p
A few dodgy mixes here and there, sure, but if anything it proves one thing - you don't need to be Grandmaster Flash to be a great DJ. Easily one of the most loved DJs in the hardcore scene (by the older ones especially). A thoroughly nice bloke too, and I won't have a bad word said against him. I listen to a Vibes set nearly every day and have done for years, one of the reasons I got into hardcore and stayed into it was this man.

There's only one vibes
I used to live him as a kid/teen getting smashed listening to him and vibes
Thing is tho his technical mixing ability as a DJ is ****in shite
Yes he plays good oldskool happy hardcore but anyone can do that! His mixing and transitions are absolutely shocking even to this day in 2013

I was listening to a Kinetic mix from 1996 this afternoon, and he gets on the mic for a few seconds and goes straight to the mix, and it is utterly shocking, like horses running. Probably having too good a time joining in the fun with everyone to worry about a silly little bit of beatmatching.
I imagine not one person cared in the slightest.
And it brings me to the point from before - you don't have to have magic hands to be a great DJ - have a bit of personality and the right tunes and it's happy days all round. Vibes was never known for his amazing mixing skills, or scratching, or anything like that, so he was obviously doing something right.
I'll defend Vibes to the death, he's my favourite DJ ever and probably always will be.

Honestly, a few dodgy patches in a mix is fine with me...lets me know a human is mixing. I love listening to my Vibes mixes.

it's not the mixing thats made him who he is it's the tracks he chooses to mix sure he may be a bit dodgy at times but what DJ isn't you can't be perfect all the time
my mixing using actual decks is utterly terrible but i'm pretty good with vdj and deckadance but who gives a shit about the mixing anyway as long as the tunes are pumpin you could be the worst DJ ever and still get people on the dancefloor

True, but you can certainly tell when it's bad. Although I can't remember a bad thing about Vibes' set I saw last year.

If it was Daren styles that mixed like sy I'm sure opinions would be different!!!
In a rave u can notice dodgy mixing more than you can with any other genre of music with hardcore - well I can anyway

I have to agree on one part tho. I haven't heard a vibes set per se, but if someone does a bad transition it will obvious make you notice it, especially if you where in the vibes :D
Anyways, if I where a perfectionist myself, alot of my mixes would've never made...
