Based on an idea from CorDharel the members of HappyHardcore.com are invited to be part of hardcore and create a tune totally made 100% on the internet and from member contributions.

Please note: That when I was voting and selecting the track for the CD I did not look at the votes nor did I use the knowledge of the disquailiifcation. I voted with the same knowledge as everyone else, so even if I voted for the disquailifed enrty by vote would have gone to that entry.

Ok voting page is ready!
The competition started as a little bit of fun but became a massive thing very quickly... It was great fun and I hope we can do one every 2-3 months or so. For voting I have created a special voting page as the forum "polls" don't really cut it for a competition. I have created a set of rules. YOU MUST READ THE RULES as you can get disqualified if you make a mistake!
Voting will close April 28th 2005.
In order to prevent cheating and entries winning on the amount of friends a contestant can email / spam we have introduced a few important rules. These rules are important so please respect them.
1. You must be a member of HappyHardcore.com registered BEFORE April 1st 2005 in order to vote.
2. From April 13th 2005 onward anyone posting to any other website anywhere / emailing / spamming asking to vote for their track will be disqualified. In order to clarify, you can post on other web sites / tell friends about the competition you just can not tell people to directly vote for you.
3. You can only vote once. You can not change your mind.
4. Please listen to all entries before casting your vote.
5. You must vote for 1st, 2nd and 3rd, you can not vote just for one of these positions.
6. You can not vote for the same entry for two or three of the voting positions, each position (1st, 2nd & 3rd) must represent a different song.
7. Voting will be done on a points system, 3 points will be awarded to a 1st position vote, 2 points awarded to a second position vote and 1 point awarded for a 3rd position vote. Once voting has finished a total of all points awarded per entry will be determined. The entry with the most total points wins the competition, with the second and third most total points awarded representing second and third place winners respectively.
8. Anyone caught cheating or breaking any of the rules will have their entry or the entry they are cheating on disqualified.

Rules for the comp:
1. The lyrics have to be written by a member of the site. Publishing rights will goto the creators of the lyrics.
2. The vocals have to be sung by a member of the site, male or female, duet or combination of different singers.
3. The artist of the track will be the producers name, feat. the singers name.
4. The track has to be produced by a member of the site and posted only here.
5. The track can be remixed or further colibrated on by other members of the site if you post the project file.
6. The one of the mixes of the track will be put on the next hardcore tsunami CD - DJ Silver's mix*.
7. You must provide a mix that can be mastered, or mixed down by a professional.
8. You have 1 month :)
9. The winner will be voted by the members of the site.
PLEASE READ THE ENTIRE THREAD FOR ANSWERS TO YOUR QUESTIONS.
* If it is to go on DJ silver's disc on hardcore tsunami disc it must suit the style of the CD, everyone should know my style. This is not to say that the track can't be breakbeat or freeform, but those mixes wont be choosen for the CD. If a mix is choose the track will be licensed to MasterWax records and a contract created (you will be signed to MasterWax records and get a artist medal in the forums).
Going forward recommend:
Start writing lyrics, make a few drafts and then post them, revise and take advice from other members.
Make a simple 140-150 BPM track that the singer can singer over and record the lyrics, the singer listens to the lyrics in their headphones while recording the raw vocals on the mic. This does not have to sound anything like the final track, it is just so that the singer can keep time. Post this simple track.
The singer or singers record their vocals and post them.
Producers download the vocals, time stretch to their liking and produce a track. Post your work once you get going.
There will be several different version of the track, all good, but I want to hear what the HappyHardcore.com community can come up with :)
This is open to anyone, pro or starters.

I got an idea we could do: We could record a melody, a sample or a bit of a vocal that is then without copyright, and everyone who is able to can try to make the best out of it, just like a photoshop-this contest or something similar.
What would you say bout this idea? I think i'd be funny!

another idea woiuld be make up a sample pack and everyone has to make a song using only those samples, then they all get voted on who's is the best track....

Yeah it's a producers comp... there have been a few in the past... Indiscriminant records for one... but I still love the idea...
Ok rules for the comp:

So Silver, whats the deal with submitting? Are you the sole Judge? Must it be a vocal track? And please can you name the capital of Luxembourg
