So are any of you guys against seperation of state and religion?i personally believe there is no place for creationism in our schools and that includes all types of religious related items and teachings, there is no overwhelming evidence to say it is true and thus should not be taught in school, what do u guys think?

'Life', supposedly started with single cells replicating into amoeba and crawling out of the primeordeal soup and evolving into more advanced creatures.

That is probably so but have you noticed that, usually late at night, when a group of people are quietly sitting in a room they will start telling 'Ghost' stories?
quite often having strange tales to tell of their own experiences.

Some of these people also only 'believe' current scientific theory and dismiss 'Life after Death', the transmigration of the Soul.

"Once you're dead, ....you're dead, right?"

Well. If there is no Soul, no Spirit, no 'Life after death'....

....what's a Ghost?

It most certainly is not physical biology but it is a 'Life'.

Where did that 'Life force' originate?

That's just another form of energy, when your alive your need to supply your body with energy, when you die all your life energy dissipates into the atmosphere.

That life energy could still be bound together in some form, what could be called a ghost, or a ghost could simply just be a stored recording of some past event.

This is really the only question that we're all guaranteed an answer to eventually, you just have to die to get the answer that's all.

To do believe in ghosts, I took a picture of one last year.

It wasn't though there was nothing like that in the room, I didn't see it myself it just came out on the picture.

Here is another picture of the same mirror.

It was taken at the Ancient Ram Inn in Gloucestershire, when I stayed there overnight on a ghost hunt. There have been reports of other people seeing a monk in that room, and to me that does look a bit like a monk. Also if you look at the reflection it appears very close to surface of the mirror and if it was a reflection from the other side of the room, like the curtains or something, which I think were actually red, it would have appeared further back in the reflection.

I suppose it could be an effect caused by the flash reflecting off the surface of the mirror...

.....yeh, strange. I don't think I'll be staying there then....

The trouble with Ghost hunting is that you might find more....

much more than you bargained for.

Take it from me. Don't bother.

ghosts are the most fascinating thing ever.......if i didnt have a dream to produce music and spend my hours sitting at a computer.....paranormal investigation is the thing i would certainly do no ifs or buts.

our last house was amazing dooors slamming shut, lights going on and off figures walking up the stairs your feet being grabbed in bed.......i lived there from age 7-16 so got used to it but my god did my mates get frightened when they stopped over...they never slept twice i tell ya.

my family and paranormal go hand in hand......the house we live in now is the calmest house we have ever lived in.....absolutely nothing happens here.

I don't think that the BT Pixies can help us out with the next Ice Age....

The KLF brought us hope though, if you remember...

Their Justified and Ancient.

K, back to the theory on the universe and why life exists and where we're headed etc etc

I was born into a Buddhist family, so more or less have adopted some of the principles. My understanding on whats taught in Buddhism is that everything in this universe(wat we comprehend) is binded and governed by Kharmic energy.

Kharma is basically everything we do/say/think has an effect. The effect can be either good or bad. You do good, you get good, you do bad u get bad. The effect to me seems to go on forever as it ripples outs. Nothing is really bad or good, its just that as living beings, we prefer certain things due to our senses and perception.

Now lets say given that reincarnation exists, it would make sense that kharma would be the reason that we are born with different characters, strengths, weakness and with different states of poverty and opportunity. It is said that, what we're given and all the things we come upon have been brought upon by ourselves from previous actions from either this life or previous lives.

All that given, Buddhist beleive that life is suffering, given the inevitable miseries that almost everyone seems to encounter;

Birth, pain, sickness, losing loved ones and death.

And the reason we are binded in enternal reincarnation cycle, is due to our attachments. We willfully/subconsciously act certain ways to get what we want as a result to our personal attachments. Hence all the good and bad deeds we all do. So therefore to free ourselves from this eternal reincarnation kharmic cycle, one must denounce attachments to worldly things and liberate the mind. By liberating(purifying) the mind, we escape into Nirvana(cease of existence).

See to some, all this prolly sounds really morbid and pessimistic, but to me and many others, makes perfect sense ; )

That given, I am not pure of heart and mind lol. I crave for worldly pleasures like everyone does. I believe in the concept of it all, but guess due to my procrastinating nature, I put off taking it all too seriously.

K, thats the end of my understanding on Buddhism and how it ties everything together.

Back to God and other religions.
I used to totally reject the idea that there is God, purely based on the notion that if God made us, then who made God. And also, I didnt like the idea that my life/fate etc was put in the hands of any other existence than myself(as arrogant as that seems).

But now as Im older and have heard other sides of the same story and have put a tincy lil bit o extra thought to it, I no longer deny the existence of a God.

To me, the more i think about it, it seems that all religion is based on Transcendence from our current life. Perhaps all religion lead us to the same destination, but the way we get there is just different.

Religions that are based around a God has their main emphasis on faith. However, to me faith isnt as easy as it seems, if you dont believe, you just dont belive lol. Where as Buddhism has a major focus on meditation and clearing of the mind, which also isnt easy to do.

So my conclusion to all this is, that it is possible that most religions will lead us to the same destination(heaven), but we are just taking different routes. Religion seems to paint different pictures of this so called Heaven, but I personally think we wont be able to comprehend what heaven is like until we get there, at this point in time, it appears that only the different paths have been made available to us lol.

There u go, even my conclusion isnt a certainty, thats how confused i am bout all this ; )
