Am dissapointed at the moment with whats coming out and have resorted to listening to my old trance!
Hope its just a phase!
And no am not a traitor i have listened to hardcore mainly the 'Happy' end of it for over 15years!
Do any of you have feelings like this?
Am also sick of the few 'twits' we have here who post shite!
Its really dragging the forum down!
Especially the sick pics that the fake 'Ard2thec0re' keeps posting and 'Smoogie aka Sexy Dave with the pointless posts!
and Gas tank & baptist for being k**** too!
and if these few want to call me names or have a go at me then so be it!
Have been put down all my life so go for it!

Been feeling the same for a while,
Used to love coming on here and finding great new tunes and there has been a serious drought as of late...well, the tunes aren't to my taste.
Starting to get back into eddie haliwell again...
I could go on a rant but not worth it...

only kiddin mate im in pretty much the same boat as yourself, still love my classics but payin more attention to other styles recently.

hell yeah i do still love the music, playing decks and learning production. Still absolute love record collecting aswell, searching out diff stuff and finding it. Musics amazing no matter what style theres talent to find if you look for it.
but as far as living my life "hardcore" and ravin all the time, thats over for a long time. Years of overdoing its slowly rotted my brain and i need a long rest to get back on track.
Still gonna pop out very occassionally for special events, but i kinda doubt i'll ever be one of the regulars again. Time will tell but the way i feel just now i'm happy to step down a gear and have a quieter life. Always got memories of mad nights i've had, but feels like a chure to me now and aint doin me any good.
But no kathryn i wouldnt worry about it, uk hardcores grew in popularity but the way its gone's also made a lot of people hate it. We cant complain but your defo not the only one who thinks like this.
Anyway i'm gonna blast myself an old dutch set and chill back enjoying the hardcore i love .

Same shit happened to me with Rap. Im freakin tired of Rap now-a-days. Always bragging on their tunes and i never even heard of them! "Bling bling this, Women love me that." So i dont listen to it anymore. I only listen to the 'old/but still good' Eminem/Dre/Snoop/Obie Trice/Bone Thugs N Harmony/Biggie/Tupac cd's.
Its a short-phase Kat. People get tired of things all the time.
And who cares about the people posting shit in here. It'll happen anywhere. They like Hardcore, just like you :D

:O there must be a bug flying around lol
i feel the same....have been going off it for a while now its just i couldnt bring myself to admit it :(
hardcore heaven 3 sorta cemented it for me....theres only a handfull of tunes i liked....ie stingray, beyond us,hit the deck(more for the vocal than the track)
its just not entertaining anymore and with me making tunes i just cant seem to find inspiration to finish a track i like ive resorted to listening to anything 1990-2002/03 pisses all over the amount of stuff today.....even 99% of newbies/so called up and comings are putting shit out......cant wait to see all these 'producers of the future' in the future lol they might know how to polish a track but it dont mean its good.
i tell ya the only producers who will do the scene good imo are luna c clsm, sharkey, tnc crew,darwin,cube::hard and all the lads keeping it HARD and fresh who are losing money like elation rfu etc
ahhhhh im gonna stop whinging coz i cannot be arsed tbh but i think its time for me to pack up and put effort into something else now :( like a girl lol ;)

Wouldn't say I'm going off it at all but there is a much larger percentage of tunes I dislike coming out nowadays... Been listening to allot more Psy trance, Gabber, Breakcore & Acid Techno lately.

I am borderlining... to be totally honest, I am actually just going off music lol
Sounds terrible, but I havnt really been properly listening to music for ages.
There are only 5 weeks left at college (excluding half term) and in that short time I have 7 assignments and 2 presentations to do. So most of my time has been either sleeping, working on CW or working at my job or actually being at college.
I just dont get in the mood to enjoy music right now as I just feel so bogged down with shit. I do have quiet background choonage on.
I went for a very long phase of not enjoying hardcore, then I got back into it a lil bit. Then I went to HTID and had such a great time and thought to myself "How can I NOT like this?!"
So yeah, still like it, but not loads and I dont take a massive interest in it. For example, I will listen to the CD but I won't look on the back to see who its by and what its called
And to your other point... This forums getting shite again...

My problem is I love wierd music, music that is different, but now I start reaching the point where "I've heard it all before" or it's been done before, now with just the tinyest of change or added sound.

I'm going through a similar phase myself. Don't listen to any kind of music much as it happens, can't really do much on the decks at the moment either so I'm sure that's got a part to play. Probably end up going back to trance, hard house, hard trance or somthing similar.
As for the forums being dragged down, totally agree with you on that one.

Well, I think we should all try somting new to listen to. I'm thinking about starting to produce my own music so that should be something to look forwards to! No more 'Polished trancy-core' shite that is 'big' at the moment. Think of the New 'Acid' sound mixed with the old 'Bouncy Techno' sounds with a hard drum kick and breaks! I will poruduce under the name of Smoogie and if I do well then I will launch Parkstone records!
Who would be slagging of Smoogie then when I save Hardcore- again?!

dont expect your knowledge to come along fast is my advice.
like everyone says you get out what you put in, i have to admit my laziness has got in the way of me learning faster.
But if it was so easy to make amazing music everyone would do it, be prepared for a lot of years of hard work and being skint.
