tracks like 24/7, pretty green eyes, save me etc never really floated my boat and i could never understand why people liked them so much. Probably because they sound like something in the pop charts. That and chicks/candies loved them.
There were a few exceptions though, like Divine Inspiration > The Way (Put Your Hand In My Hand) Remix, Apollo > Dance (Recon Remix) and that Truly Madly Deeply - Savage Garden Remix (bit gay i know).

very gay actually ;)
I love it too, pretty sweet song :P
I think vocals have huge popularity because they give a human/organic feeling to a song and people can relate to it more easily. I also think they just sound good... I still love 24/7 to this day, and play it at parties once in a while.

Is "Your Shining" Hardcore?...
I like the female vocals because they make an happy and lovely atmosphere in the song... but the male ones are not so bad...
I also think that Happy Hardcore and all its subgenres are getting less "happy"... don't you think?
