People don't drink at raves because they "need" to, to make them enjoy the music... They drink because they like being drunk.
The same as drugs. People dont do drugs to make them enjoy the night... they do them because they like doing drugs.... nothing to do with the face they don't enjoy the music

I was trying to say `something along those lines, but I didn`t get my ponit across as well as you.
And I have nothing against people who don`t do drugs. I do have something against the lot of you who think that drug users are pathetic, and that we need our drugs to enjoy hardcore. We don`t, as we have stated many times, but for some reason many of you still have it in your mind that to rave we need to be on twenty pills of E and an 8-Ball of blow.
Atleast some of you get what we`re saying, or atleast don`t hate on drugs.

IMO, i go to raves to have fun, regardless of whether its hardcore or not.
i take e sometimes, sometimes i dont. it just depends on how im feeling.
ken is kind of right, i tend to drop e if the music isnt as good as i hoped.
however, i am extremely opposed to the opinion that you're not raving if you dont take drugs. that's just stupid.

honestly i think drugs is in no way related to hardcore. as example take (yuk i cant believe im gnna type that style) hiphop/rap.. from wot i always see its all bout spliffs nd pills nd chill wif that music beeing wasted. rather paste drugs in that scene.
ive been using drugs on gigs maself but i rather stick wif a nice COLD beer (which uk doesnt seem to have in clubs lol) or plain water. the hardcore music itself shud be your drugs nd if the dj mixes well you shud get liften up into a higher state due to that.. no need for drugs to take ya there.
not saying im against taking drugs on gigs that your own choise but never ever relate the drugs nd music again *slaps those who relate it to eachother in the face a couple times*

I think bulby had a fair point. And also the orignal poster stated he does not do drugs at raves, so to say that if you have to do drugs at a rave to enjoy it then your not that into it, is completly irrelavant.
Also think the orignal poster had a fair point lol, I do get tired of hearing the same old synths over and over in "modern" hardcore :P
Altho is a problem many other styles share...

only just noticed there where more pages, im such a rem sometimes lol. but to add to what I was saying, besides, most people who say they don't do drugs, are often hypocrits, and will happily sit there pouring large quantities of booze down their neck all night ;)

Fair enough you dont need to do drugs to enjoy the music, but doing drugs is just fun, and listening to music you already love on drugs is even more fun...
