1. It sucks that in the US everyone considers all EDM the same. I had a friend listen to "Kevin Energy & Gammer - This is the Place" and "SynthWulf - Goodbye is Not Forever" and she said, "Oh wow, that's just trance music, right?"
2. Why does it seem that hardcore, especially in the UK, is all about sexuality, not about the music, I mean every CD that they sell with the exception of Bonkers has some hot bird on the cover in a bikini. Since when does that have to do with the music?

I DID pass a judgement about my corner of the world, that's who I was talking about.

that pretty much sums it up right there bout the naked girls on the front. altho, they aren't tryin 2 specifically sell the 'sex' part to us. we know what hardcore is therefore we don't need a naked girl in the front for convincing.
it's mainly there for those who don't know what the hell it is, and basically it's a selling tactic where they're tryin to get someone to buy it just cuz of the girl, regardless of what's actually on the cds. it probably doesn't work very well, but i'm sure at least 1 person falls for it every cd release

only uk/happy hardcore cds i've ever seen in stores is the happy2bhardcore ones and some from highborn such as happy hardcore foundation, world of (scott brown, breeze, dougal, etc) and force & styles double cd (which i saw in an entertainment media store located in a conservative town of 40,000, that really made my day!). all they have is the smiley faces and some other weirdass smiley expressions on those front covers
never seen a clubland xtreme, h adrenaline, h nation, bonkers, or any other major cd compilations out here for a longass time. but i bet that they would not have a problem with the naked girls as i've seen worse on covers

This.
It's bullcrap, imo. Have to download everything if they have digital releases, or have them delivered from UK..

Though like said before this isn't all of the U.S. but a lot of people I talk to just call my music Techno. When I told them about the different Genre's consisting in Electronic music I always get: "Same thing"
So I always have to say then Led Zeppelin is the same type of music as Scream-o rock. Then they get pissed :P

very good point.
what i think is that people in general really don't understand it's appeal and just kind of scoff at it.
and no matter what, there is now 1 song you can play them that sums up the whole genre, so you may as well be playing them a sped up version of 'aqua - barbie'.
i personally try to keep my headphones at the lowest setting possible in order to hear all the sounds when i'm out in public. but there are also other times when i have my ipod cranked to earbleedingly loud levels on the bus so... .. i guess that i'm kind of ashamed and proud all at once if that makes sense?
i just never really talk about hardcore in real life, that's all. but on the internet, i'm obsessed.

404 is the html tag code for "file not found". it's the most common, due to server loads and browser errors

It also makes many people think its just trash crap music anyways and lose the respect for it.

I jump into my little old fiesta in the morning, turn on the ignition and play my hardcore CD as I go off to work! I come home 9 hours later from work, in my little old fiesta with my hardcore music blaring out of the car into the little cul-de-sac I live in, and I really don't care what anyone else thinks of the music I love, All I say is "play it loud" and be "proud"!
