http://thevibe.socialvibe.com/index.php/2009/08/03/another-music-downloader-busted-for-free-loading/ These charges are ridiculous. The artists don't even care (except for Metalica).

Worst thing of all, The money they (might) get, will not go to the artists infrigied. It will go to continued anti-piracy methods.
That's the truth people, RIAA doesn't really care about the artists.
on the side, what's my piracy worth? =P

as if suing one guy for $600,000 is gonna do anything! Think of the amount of people that do fileshare! Why should this one guy get it harder than anyone else.
Instead of suing randoms to secure their pensions they should get their fingers out their arses & do something constructive to combat this! I cant stand filesharing & people that promote it but come on, this is not the way to tackle the problem.
If this is the best the RIAA can do then there's no hope.

With the millions of people on piratebay daily, stopping one guy won't do sh*t. I think my piracy is worth an uncountable number if 30 songs was worth $650,000

Not really gloating. It's just something I wonder because 30 songs is a microscopic number to nearly everyones illegal downloads.

How exactly do they expect people to pay ridiculous fines like $650,000 and $1.9? Surely this is a load of shit.
