Somehow this sentence made me chuckle a little.
well i heard a few melodies, few shit drops, few dubstep kinda bits
Not much you can go on when each sample is about 4 seconds long and theres no TL.

what a load of noise! Only one tune in there I liked the sound of. Needless to say I won't be buying. I have been shunning these for years now

I'm on Archefluxx's side. Earlier this year I hated this electro/dubstep-influenced sound, but I love it now. It sounds modern and more serious than some of the utterly cheesy vocal stuff while still being lots of fun. Also, you do know that Hixxy & Re-Con's disc will also have a lot of the "usual" hardcore like Sora Blue etc., so saying that one isn't buying CXH8 because of 5 second long clips from Breeze's mix doesn't make a lot of sense. Also, SparkzMusic, your first reply does not make any sense. Surely hardcore isn't the only genre you listen to and therefore why should no one like different styles within a genre. I like uplifting stuff (Hixxy etc.), Freeform, Gabber, and nowadays also the electro/dubstep-influenced sound, so yes, I am totally buying this.

just listened to half of that preview... my eyes couldn't take anymore...
this preview alone is reason why in this fileshainG age we now need try before u buy... why would I want to waste my money on an album full of that?
and tbh now I understand why people refer to hardcore as noise

Darren Styles' preview is at least as good if not better. "We Killed The Rave", "Satellite", the Apollo - Dance remix, etc. this volume is going to be amazing.

Eeek...the Re-Con and Hixxy CD will have to be pretty spectacular for me to get this CD. Same old noises and sounds on the DS preview to the Breeze CD...how's that for diversity..I can even hear a drop at 2:40 which seems to be a rip-off of the drop in Skrillex's remix of Cinema! LOL I almost feel bad for Hardcore now. It's not only copying a genre, but starting to literally copy songs from that genre too. Honestly this can't be called 'fresh'.

Yeah, DS wins Breeze on this one but that's hardly hard (heh...)
I believe Hixxy's on CLXH8 again? Interested in hearing that one, if there's electroshite plastered throughout that one we'll know AATW are forcing them to mix this shit!

One thing I am not liking is that when producers add in this electro/dub step crap, the tempo seems to drag. What happened to the rush in Hardcore? It's so heavey with unecessary elements.

I think Hixxy and Re-con's disk will be a combination of Hixxy's latest stuff (including Sora Blue) and Re-con and Demand's new album which will be cool but unless it's particularly groundbreakingly awesome I'm not gonna pay 13 for it and will just wait for the individual releases on TID.
