I don't think this is an absolute terrible track, but I like (NOT love) the electro sound. It probably sounds way better live though.
But it certainly does not do the original, and by original I'm sure you mean the 99 Hardcore mix and not the euro dance version, any type of justice. It's a relatively weaker sounding track. Does not have the impact that the hardcore version has.
Now a great example of a great remake of a classic is Darwin's take on Brisk & Kevin Energy's Unlock Ya Brain. I was actually worried this would not turn out good, but it was just f**king brilliant! A true remake, that stands alone yet still has the essence of the original track!

there is a comment a 1:00 that i had to get off my chest and put my point across i will not have crap like this being called hardcore and i don't think any REAL hardcore lover will either

The difference is Darwin is Darwin and Klubfiller is Klubfiller. All that needs to be said.

Judging by the fact that I cant think of any off the top of my head, it seems like the gabber people arent flocking to it en masse, so good on them.
Anyway, I'm not really passionate on this issue because the first time I ever heard Power of Love was in 2010. But I welcome any excuse to rip on Klubfiller because he's awful and his name reminds me of American clubber douchebags (which he probably dreams of being popular with).

in a few years time people will be saying "who the hell is klubfiller" we have to get rid of these people if hardcore is to survive...it's went on long enough i mean is it any wonder why we havn't heard much from scott brown for a while i don't think he wants his name associated with all of this dubcore/electrocore crap...the man pretty much defined hardcore when it 1st started and when the revival happened now he's doing the smart thing and laying low until this shit goes away...at least i hope he is

In a few years people are going to wonder who Scott Brown is. Can the man get any more incognito?

maybe he's just left the scene without saying goodbye only time will tell i really hope he hasn't that would be a huge blow to our recovery hopes because i don't see anyone else who has the skills to pull the scene out of this slump
maybe it's a good thing if hardcore goes quiet for a while and resurfaces with a new and improved sound like what happened in 2002 but it has to be it's own sound and not ripping off any other genre like trance or dupstep etc we also need some fresh talent the likes of hixxy, sy, unknown, dougal, gammer and all the rest of them need to leave i think there are tons of brilliant producers out there they just aint getting noticed and getting the help they need to make it in this scene because of all the glory hoggers that currently populate it

Twista records posted this on facebook today http://soundcloud.com/klubfiller/q-tex-power-of-love-re-con Basically it's those two guys utterly destroying hardcore gold with horrible electro noise. I posted the following comment in reply It's great till all that electro rubbish comes in and it becomes one of the biggest musical assassinations i have ever heard.
I think that's a very accurate description of the track in question which points back to the topic...... It just shouldn't be allowed.
I really don't understand your point. I heard far more "commercial" examples in these modern forms, and this one doesn't even have a minimal drop. This is sure one of the best 2012-commercial peaces for me, and very melodic making it remind me to 2003-2010 style. You could have at least picked something that "really sucks", in other words shows all intruding elements in opinion of people with your music taste.
EDIT: And BTW, what does actually make you guys despise this style?

Does anyone on this forum know what Electro is? This just sounds like the average trancy stuff thats been knocking around for years.
Are they murdering hardcore just like the Scotch people did to English hardcore in the mid 90s with there rubbish kickdrums? Or how trance ruined hardcore in the early two thousands? Or maybe peoples music tastes move on and hardcore reflects that.
