Anyone on here going to HTID In The Sun this year? That's me fully booked, staying for 8 nights in the Blau Apartments. Absolutely buzzing for it. Decided that were doing the waterpark and possibly a boat party as well this year after not doing either last year. As always it should be a great week

Line up hasn't been released yet, apparently it just got finalised this week and they're releasing the full flyer at the weekender in a few weeks time. I'd imagine it will be more or less the same as last year with a few minor changes and of course Dj Sy won't be there

imo. there should be more varity at HTID. if J-Core and Freeform will be played next year in great amounts i would join the party.

Both of them were scheduled to be there last year, but Darwin had something come up, so it was only Fracus by himself but he represented HU well. Was completely gutted that Darwin wasn't there, which is why I flew to Toronto months later in November to see him :)
Regardless of variety or not, it is a blast! Especially the waterpark and yacht parties. I can't believe you did neither scotsman! Seemed like everyone was at the waterpark party with the exception of like 5 or 6 people.
For the moment it looks like I am not going. However I might actually go again. I'm about ready to blow my brains out at work I can't stand it and any minute now I feel like putting in my 2 weeks notice. I'm trying to hold off till the summer so that I can go somewhere with or without my cousin. Not a problem if I go off somewhere alone, especially if it's to HTID ITS or maybe if possible the Galapagos Islands.

There was quite a few no shows last year if I remember correctly. Hixxy, Re-con, Darwin and modulate off the top of my head. (Although hixxy did fly out just for the waterpark). I agree that it is always a blast regardless of variety. You really don't get the same vibe and atmosphere anywhere else.
I don't actually know why we didn't go to the waterpark last year, seems very stupid in hindsight. Although I do remember feeling especially shit/hungover that day lol.
Waterpark is on the Saturday this year I believe which is the 2nd last day. Or 3rd last for me as I'm staying an extra day for the afterparty!
Hope you can make it although it must cost a fortune coming from the
States.

People that are big drinkers, how much does the full week normally cost you, all-in? Flights, hotel, raving, booze, food.

yea it does but a few Americans who went last year are headed back there this year. I spent between 3500-4000 (about 2600 quid) for 2 weeks of Spain, which included the 7 days of HTID ITS, 4days/3 nights in Barcelona and 5 days/4nights in Madrid.
If I go back again I would like to revisit a bit of spain again, but also maybe get a few days in London as well been meaning to go there. I'd like to see if I can find a few places to couch surf to cheapen my stay in London if I do, and I already know a few ppl from HTID ITS last year that I can probably ask.

Get an all exclusive hotel and save some cash mate! I think we got flights, accommodation wrist band etc. for around 350. We aren't all exclusive this year but did that before for around an extra 50. If you go to the right shops you can get a bottle of vodka for like 9 euro so we do a lot of drinking at the hotel before we head out. I managed to get by on about another 350 when we went all inclusive.
Only reason we aren't going all inclusive this time is we'd rather cook our own meals and just buy cheap booze round the corner as we have more choice over what we eat/drink. Few of the girls where a little fussy. ;)
It all depends how mad you go and how good you are at being thrifty with ya cash I guess. :P Spend it in the right places and you don't have to go without but can get by quite cheap. Chuck money at the first shop/bar you walk in without getting a feel for the prices and you'll get rinsed for a serious wedge I imagine. Try and leave the club to get a drink and buy as little as you can in Colossus itself as it's mega expensive.
