England have less chance of win the world cup than i have of growing wings.
Anybody with half a brain would be able to see the teams short comings and be able to debate it without taking offence. Its ok being patriotic but you also need to be realistic.
Brazil will probably win the world cup. We may get to the 1/4 finals if we finish top of the group. 3rd-4th place game at best.
i would love for us to win but i dont think it will happen.

^^ They will probably not win (always have said that on the other england threads), but football is an unpredictale game. Many upsets can and have happened throughout history. You're right England have a slim chance of winning, but that slim chance is still a chance.

Yes come on England indeed.
Hopefully Rooney's scan went ok (not seen the sports news today). Trouble is, it's like Beckham all over again when he got hurt just before 2002. Hope to god that they don't play an understrength Rooney & try to accommodate him in the side if he's not fit enough to play.
I love Rooney, think he's a class player, but I don't want England to suffer because they feel the need to play him if he's only even slightly fit. Fair enough he's better than most players even when he's injured, but I'd rather see a fully fit player playing instead of a half fit Rooney.
