Thanks to this topic I was inspired to produce an old skool sounding track & pay some respects to the scene of the 90's. I've only had today to work on it but it's coming together quite nicely. It's far from finished but I thought i'd let everyone hear it anyway & I notice Meathead had advised my 'Journey Into Sound' Set so i'll put a link to that aswell for those who want to hear it.

P.S. If anyone would like a tracklist just let me know;-)

It didnt come from hardcore... dnb was around before hardcore... hardcore spanned from dance and was dubbed the rave phenominom and drum and bass emerged in the late 80's and some was just an offshoot of uk hardcore in the early ninties. it then became its own genre. therefore it is in no way a hardcore subgenre..

I just love 1980's drum and bass... its not as good as 1950's happy hardcore though.

djkenmasters - not a bad track mate but it needs a lot of work. I like the slightly european 95ish style. What did u make it in?

(sorry to go off topic but hey, I feel its already been killed off by the not meant to be but comedic history of hardcore post).

If memory serves me well an S900. As for the Bomber jacket, although not in that photo, you'd be right.

A bloody good bit of kit! We replaced the S900 with an S2800 which we still occasionally use and yeh, do we have box loads of discs & Zip discs or what. :)

....and to stay on topic.

Here's Brett in 1995 or possibly 1996 with said Akai S2800 -

....it only seems like yesterday. How time flies when you're having fun.
