and the scene...

I've thought long and hard about this but to cut a long theory short - hardcore won't survive if the scene is puppetmastered and dollhoused by a collective of 10 stuborn men. yes, they kick started it off around 1996, some before. but surely for a scene to go you need people with more imagination and enthusiam for the music and not for the $$$ (dj Sy for example... or is that, dj Sigh, cause im so bored of his mediocore "hardcore")
Secondly, they don't care about a few moaners on the internet, as long as they can turn the hardcore scene into somthing like ****ing disney land... (tricking your mind into CREATED-anthems, anthems aren't made, they're found.) were monkey brained brainwashed chavs (woo cn only typ lyk tht cuz there ***** fick) spend they're money on pointless cds (what a complete waste of plastic too) then they're happy.
I say, raise your fist in the air, and if you dj or produce, fight them!! we should run the scene together as 1.

back in the early 90s, hardcore scene was like a patchwork quilt, kids with nothing but an akai sampler in their bedroom. the hardcore scene now is nothing but a joke. and the jokers are running out of ideas.

Not you again. Change the record or f*ck off like you said you had.

Do something about it then instead of sitting on your arse typing on an internet forum about how the scene is shit.

For starters you could learn to produce! :-P

I kinda find this ironic, you are talking about running the scene together as 1, yet you choose to stand out away from the scene. It is what it is, whether its what you excpect or not. You cant expect this crazy culture to stay the same after 10, 20, 30 years, though the concept will be the same, but the views on that concept will change. Think about it, you got new people coming in to every event, not everyone is the same. Sure, some people are in it for the wrong reasons, but there are some that truly want to hear some fast paced music and dance with everyone. Those people will be the ones still dancing the night away after the "hardcore fad" is over, and there you will find your scene. Just stick with it and enjoy the music.

There's nothing to learn, you say the same thing over and over. What YOU need to learn is that no one runs the scene, hardcore isn't being puppet mastered by anyone. Lots of different producers make lots of different styles, and for whatever reason the styles that you don't like are more popular - DEAL WITH IT. And even if you can't, your problem should be with the people who buy their stuff, the consumer, not the people who are making money from producing the music they love. None of your arguments against them hold water, so get over your inferiority complex and do something about your perceived state of the scene, either that or just shut the **** up, you're like a broken record.

Brett got his Akai sampler and we haven't looked back since -

but thank goodness!

If it's all going to die in 2009 we can finally stop bothering, get out the pipe and slippers, sit by the fireside and peacefully fade away....

That's Brett at the tender age of, I dunno, not much, in 1992/93 and that is pretty much how it was done back then.

Of course, parking was a problem back then as well. Finding somewhere to park the horse and cart wasn't easy....

He posts things like because he has nothing constructive to post about hardcore music or the "scene" which he bangs on about so much. He's a big kid just wanting to fit in by repeating things he's heard elsewhere but not knowing what he's really talking about.
