By writing "Big thanks to Nova who will be sorting the vocals" i'm guessing she records it herself aswell? In that case im up for it! :P I don't have any good recording-stuff yet so... :)

The edits to the rules seem to cover all of my concerns. :)

I've not produced any Hardcore for a long time now, over a year, i'm very tempted to have a go at this, although only because Nova is doing the vocals.

"3. Tracks should be credited producers name & Nova." This rule should cover that for you. :)

OK I'm in but I'm not going to try and make it my best work, just a fun piece. Are the vocals recorded yet because I've tried looking for them and i can't find them if they have?

I personally don't see the harm.... But i guess it goes to majority vote

I dont think thats fair, if you enter the comp with 2 or more tracks you are having better changes than the others

its like when a same person competes with diferent pseudonyms, just that in this case you enter with the same name

*edit*

another thing I think should be clarified is whether the use of nova's vocals is a must, or there can be instrumental tracks

I think the first one should be the way

Nova's vocals must be used - Think this is a good idea as everyone will have access to them and the basis for the comp will be showing what you can do with them.

1 Entry per person - I think this is the only fair way as some people will have far more time available than others and would be able to knock out loads of tracks. It also means there would be far too many tracks to expect people to listen to and vote on!

Anyone disagree with this?

Vocals should be available on March the 23rd.

we have allot of producers opting to enter this year. using the same vocals will definataly constrain the amount of variety we will receive in the entries.

It seems kinda aimless to have every entry using the same lyrics. Variety is limited and other users listening to the tracks will get bored of hearing them.

Also, a lack of variety means we could hear some very similar releases. Only the creative one or two will prosper.

This leads me to the point where im less willing to enter. It'll depend on the quality of the vocals.

On that note, I forsee a bit of a disappointing competition this year. Whilst everyone has the same chance to make a quality track, its going to be god boring to hear other peoples (due to same lyrics) and god boring for people who aren't entering.

It's being well organised, and i cant gripe Bulby at all on it, its just the rules that get me, and make me think this'll be a disappointing event.

Who says you have to use the same lyrics? You dont. Atleast not throughout, you HAVE to use the vocals yeah BUT you can do whatever you want with them. Cut em up and rearrange em however you want. Add whatever effects etc you want. If anything im saying this means the tracks entered for the competition will be even more creative than if say everyone used whatever they wanted.

@Influx: Why enter two tracks when you could throw two tracks worth of ideas into one awesome track? eh?

you know, every year TONS of people say they're gonna enter and only a dozen do

plus, my track will sound nothing like anybody else's. I'm gonna **** with the vocals so much.

Everyone used the same vocals last year too. :P

I don't have a problem with it if someone else is going to put forward some vocals people could use as well... Is anyone actually wanting to do this though!? If so, they would have to be made available for everyone to use and be ready by march 23rd. Peoplecould then make a choice about what vocals they want to use.

PLEASE LET ME KNOW IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO PROVIDE ANOTHER SET OF VOCALS.

I believe Nova is doind two different vocals to use as well..? At least that's what she said in an earlier post. Don't know if this is 100% Happening?

*edit*

+ what Dain-Ja said is 100% correct. A big percentage of people who say they're taking part probably wont submit a finished track.

I don't really mind tbh, I'm happy to go with what the Majority would like...
