Clearly the biggest issue when an 8.9 earthquake hits less than 200km from the coast of Japan is what is going to happen to California

at 1st i believed this was the actual article, but then i went to the site and saw that they were what pissed u off
well i don't see anything wrong with the story, that's standard article writing in the US, and i'm assuming that's how most of the UK reporters write articles
yes i know that this is supposed to be focused on japan and not about what's happening in CA, but it did take care of the most important facts about the quake in japan. i'm sure more will come in the upcoming days such as a more accurate death toll, amount of damage in monetary value, etc. and if you wait a little longer, books are to follow

2012??? this could be the start of it now japan r used to earthquakes but jeezo nobody cuda prepared for this lets hope there isnt a nuclear disaster i think this cud be the earth sending a message to us what with global warming because the earth is alive n it got rid of dinosaurs so im sure if it wanted to end all life at any given time it would...we'll see in the next few years if 2012 dnt turn out 2b doomsday

Mobile phones are back, trains are sort of running and roads are sort of cleared of traffic at least in Tokyo... there is a large hardcore scene (for Japan) in Sendai... I know this, I have DJed there and toured... I don't know about my friends there yet cause I can't contact them....

A news piece on pc world had a link to this video of the Quake Warning System kicking in on tv seconds before the earthquake. Pretty damn impressive:
The seconds are enough to make emergence breaks on trains and close factory lines and find immediate shelter.
