some of the comments ive seen about 2012 are so ****ing retarded. Get real you idiots. Basing this on an old ancient astrologic theory.
Surprises me how utterly stupid people can be about this stuff. I think its insulting that a disaster like this can be put down to a pathetic religious concept. There are points of tension all over the earths fault lines and at the edge of tectonic plates. Some more tense than others, this just happened to be a devastatingly large one. Saying this is part of 2012 and an act of god is a ridiculous as Pat Robertson saying Haiti paid the price for dealing with the devil.

well here is sumthing to think about...if the earth wasn't alive then how were we created (if anybody says god did it al scream) n how were the trees grass plants n all other life created something had to create us n if it can create us then it can destroy us but i dont think any1 really knows how it all started lol lets just hope we aint gonna be destroyed anytime soon i wanna finish college first lmao

and yea i agree it's utterly stupid but religion and politics (especially conservative politicians) have always used scare tactics such as this one to keep ppl in fear of god and to change their ways/and or donate $$$ or vote their way. and it's a shame that there's enough uneducated and unintelligent ppl that it actually works. at least here in the US it does

Worst thing I've seen is a selection of americans saying "This is karma for pearl harbour". Dear me, wrong on so many levels...makes me wonder how much US history americans are actually taught in school.

The funny thing is... Hawaii is really not a state of the usa, we stole it, and kept it...
But the pearl harbor thing, was about 3,000 people died... In Japan, is only about 500 have been reported dead..

I have to agree. I thought that was a gross over-reaction. It was just an early, factual report of what was going on, right at the start of an increasingly hectic situation. The article didn't place more value on life in one country or the other.

Did you sidestep the Atom Bombs that America dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki in retaliation to the Pearl Harbour attacks that melted at least 200,000 innocent Japanese citizens into the ground and reduced two cities into gigantic craters or have you not been taught that in school?

Oh and more and more atom bombs were intended to be dropped onto Japan until it's government surrendered. America were willing to raise the entire land of Japan to the ground. The scientist who split the atom for the first time killed himself when he saw what his technology had done.
This is a picture I found on the internet that was pro-american. Pretty sickening IMO.

Yes they do, but hardly anymore. I did not sidestep anything, I was just stating what the death tolls are, and that the people who think it's "karma" are wrong, as we dropped to A-bombs on two big city's to force Japan into submission, they had 2 other bombs ready to drop also, if Big boy and Fat man did not stop them.
@NekoShuffle: Even tho that picture is correct, your statement is somewhat one sided.. You implied that the usa, is the only one who has killed for land. Look at Asia, look at what Mao did, Hitler, look at what Africa is doing to its own people, look at history....
