I hear you. I've managed to literally factor it out completely and ignore it, which is what people should do if they don't like it. I think they've encouraged people to ignore it if they don't like it (instead of complaining) by keeping the vast majority to one disc. Irrespective of the "But this is a Hardcore CD!" debate, it's tidy and it gets it out the way.
If we just ignore it, the artist will take it as a sign that we liked it.

I completely understand what you're saying, and it's not something I haven't considered. But, a) I'm not willing to not buy music I love because it comes with some stuff I don't like, and b) I actually don't care how the produces of the stuff I don't like interpret me ignoring it (i.e. the same as seemingly liking it/buying it). They can carry on making it. There's too much good stuff out there that I enjoy for me to get myself all worked-up and pissed off with people making stuff I don't agree with.
Life's too short, and I am full-to-the-brim with Dog-Food Pizza. Can't eat another bite.

Best way to measure it would be to see how each "CD" is being sold on TID and Beatport seperatly.

My opinion:
Darren Styles Mix: Incredible. There's only one DJ i prefer at the moment and that's Technikore. But everything Styles is doing at the moment is gold. His productions are outstanding and his sets are, in my opinion, the best he's done since the force days. Almost every tune is a brilliant hardcore track, and those that aren't i can forgive because the rest of the mix is just so good.
Breeze Mix: Good solid drum and bass mix with a few half decent hardcore tracks thrown in. Someone needs to sit him down and have a word with him. Because trying to push this style of music onto hardcore ravers is just ludicrous. And including it on a hardcore cd is just stupid.
Hixxy Mix: Love it. Hixxy has been hit and miss for a long time, but i think this is another hit. His own new tracks are brilliant and the choice of other tracks is well put together.
Gammer Mix: Typical Gammer mix, technical ability A++. I don't like some of the edits, but that's neither here nor there as the mix as a whole is brilliant.
All in all, if you lose the Breeze mix, this CD is a good solid representation of the UK hardcore scene at the moment. Lots of amazing tracks being produced, which if you compare to this time last year is 100% better! I'd have liked more Technikore on here as his productions at the moment are second to none.
But yeah, good CD. I might actually listen to this one more than once!

Having listened to the CD now, I can't believe Hixxy's mix made it onto the album.
Surely someone must have listened to it at AATW and said "Hixxy mate.. the quality sounds shite. Do it again please."

The mix on the CD release is horrific beyond belief. I only assume the same mix was published to iTunes as well (unless they redid it after pressing the CDs.. unlikely).

Methinks there was actually a full-length Hixxy mix at some point, but the folks at AATW said "Oy, half of this isn't amazing, let's cut it and get someone else to fill out the rest of the CD... has anyone ever heard of this Gammer fellow? Whatever, we'll have him do a short mix."

I don't think that's the case. He hasn't been very active production wise for a while and everyone else shotgunned all the tracks :p.
However if what you said was the case I'd hate to think what the other half ****ing sounded like!!

I haven't got the album. What's bad about Hixxy's mix? The track selection?

Audio quality.. the whole mix sounds wrong/bad. Track selection isn't exactly amazing either but that's not my main issue.
