On the hixxy mix the bass seems to skip on a number off tracks and just doesn't sound right at all

Correct, sounds awful which for me is a shame as I like most of the tunes but a commercial CD should not sound like a wonky 56k download :(

It doesn't skip. The mix is timestretched for some unknown reason. Atleast that's how the sample clips (on juno) sounded to me.

I too have only heard the clips on juno, no idea if the timestretching thing is just on the clips there or if it's on the Dl or CD versions...very odd
