You've not missed much. Apart from a few Re-Con freebies on SoundCloud.
Cor Re-Con too! Squad-E also. It's so difficult to think of everyone in these situations...

ATM I'd say Technikore is on tip-top form. In fact that's understating.

edit: In fact, if I was planning on spending the time/energy/money on creating an album in genre I'd probably be paying lots of attention to the Hardcore Heaven album. 40 unmixed tracks from most of the artists in genre to reference against for 15 pounds. *shrugs*

I will check it out! My record collection needs stocking up!

I'll give you fracus and Darwin who have been great but prospects album sounded like future world two years late and I've only bought one mob track in my life. Admittedly you can't argue with sales but I've always wondered firstly why lethal theory ever bothered with them given the contrasting styles, secondly how the hell they are so popular they are. Just shows how varied taste can be.

MOB is capable of putting out some brilliant melodic tracks, I think to be honest you're just a bit too jaded mate. I don't subscribe to the whole 'dont say anything if you cant say anything nice' thing but perhaps it's got to the point with you that it might be worth considering?

Always has been, always will be. I don't think he's ever produced an embarrassment of a tune. Even the Soap On A Rope tunes were decent bootlegs! Even Wanna Be There was awesome and that reached Cheese Level 99.
Being honest, though, F&D/HU have been the ones that have kept me interested in hardcore over the last few years. I think without some of the projects that have come to fruition, I'd still be listening to Bonkers 1-17 on repeat every day. Don't get me wrong, I like the TWR stuff, too. It's just they don't do anything interesting with their music.

I'm looking forward to (hopefully) getting a version of Iron heart that doesn't have the horrible hiss/clipping in the vocal that's present in the trackitdown version

Is the version on the Kutski album different?
Can't recall the one I have sounding so bad.

I haven't heard the Kutski album, I've only heard the trackitdown one. I thought it was potentially due to encoding at trackitdown (I don't know how it works, do they get wavs and then encode MP3 on the site?) so I messaged MOB about it. He told me to send him a screenshot of my order and would resend it to me but it never happened and I haven't chased it up.
It's most noticeable during a breakdown and from memory the word 'away' has it pretty bad. I say 'bad', it's not ridiculous, struggled to hear it on my mates monitors but it's fairly clear on mine. I'll make a clip if anyone cares enough

I was expecting it to be gone just cause of the fact that it's an edit to the original (I think?) but I don't really know if it's an artifact introduced by encoding or whether it's actually present on the original. Let me know if you need a clip

Might be useful to reference. Am desperately hoping so as I want the HH album uncompromised.

My best guess is intersample peak clipping due to loudness war mastering. Lossy compression makes intersample peaks worse than in the original. If you and your friend have different equipment with different DACs, then that might explain the issue. Some have extra headroom to cope with this issue, and some don't. I've heard this problem on a lot of hardcore releases, and even on professionally released hardcore albums (such as Who's Got The Stamina).
EDIT: I wouldn't mind hearing a clip. This sort of technical stuff fascinates me.
