Blaming AATW for only wanting to make money is wrong because that's what EVERY (or at least every major) label wants to - make money. They don't exist because they thought it was a nice thing to do for the artists that need a label, they exist because they figured they could make money out of it and since they still exist, they've made money.

they change the style of hardcore into dance in the prgress and still call it hardcore. other labels keep it real. keep it hardcore and still make money.

I don't agree with you at all, acidfluxxbass.

Styles, Breeze and Hixxy are still producing Hardcore. Maybe not the hardcore YOU like, but that doesn't make them less real than any other producers. They don't have the same influences as other artists, but it's still all Hardcore.

i didnt say they were less of producer's, but they seem to be straying further and further away from the hardcore we enjoyed from say 2002-2006 into lesser hardcore tracks. girls aloud and walk on water remixes? please..
and why dont they mix properly? isnt that the entire point of having dj's mixing the discs?

"2 mixed by mark breeze" more like a bloody computer that fades into the next song in the last 5 seconds..

Their style is changing, it hasn't been the same way from 2002 to 2006, and it isn't the same way from 2006 to 2008 either. Their music isn't less Hardcore, it's different, but it's still the same genre.

I don't see the point in complaining about computer mixing anyways. Arranging the album by computer or mixing on cd decks, with the tracks all engineered the exact same way and all at the same BPM and volume, it really doesn't matter in the end. It's still a mix since it is in non-stop format.

Totalpopcore needs an outlet too. Leave CXH for that.

It doesn't have to be "as popular" to make the scene infinitely more healthy and thriving. The Pareto rule suggests that 80% of popularity (or, more practically, the money pumped into the scene) should land in the hands of 20% of people - such would be a "normal" state. If that was indeed the case, the scene would probably flourish, many people would be attracted to it, lots of freshness, originality, great stuff.

It's very far from that in the UK hardcore scene. It's not 80-20, more like 95-5 or even more likely 99-1. A completely perverted proportion, almost all the power (and thus cash) in the hands of very very few. The reasons for this are less important, the question is what can be done. That's why - as someone suggested in a different thread - some conscious people here follow the likes of Hardcore Underground almost religiously. Here you have an excellent, top-notch, professional album - and the people behind it are experienced, passionate and have a solid game plan. If such "wedges" don't succeed in shifting the balance, what the hell can? It's worrying and it begs for support. If it comes through as fanatical - so be it. ;)

So it's not really about forcing one sound out. It's about restoring the balance.

exactly, thats why aatw bought bonkers cause its a big name that sells alot of units, cause do u really thought they would have bought the rights if it was some unheard of compilation with 1 r 2 releases,no chance and acid fluxx is full of shit in some of his posts any way, hows bonkers not big?do u think they have 18 releases with numerous cds going silver and gold sales 4 nothing, and your the 1 claiming about true ravers,by the sounds of it u don,t know much about bonkers if your coming out with that shite

just that posting silver 1 put that Sharkey will b working on it. and also that CLSM and Fracus have been submitting stuff for the album.

I personally see this as a good sign. AATW seems to be taking its time with this album and i think it's because they want to make it right, want to make it into the true Bonkers sound that we all know and love. If they truly only gave a damn about sales, they would have stopped making everybody wait and brought something crappy that is def not Bonkers material just so we would all go and purchase it.

and of course they r working on marketing strategy as well.
