What does everyone think Gabber will be like? I would like it if the Dutch started making 'happeri' stuff again. They ran the scene back in the mid 90s keeping things both happy and hard. Lets hear more hard kicks and get rid of those soft basslines!

hardcore in 2010 will be the same, you state that in the 90s the sound changed goin into the 2000s??? in 2010 will still be in the 2000s... i can see it more goin down the jumpstyle root for the commercial clubland/scooter stuff... & hardstyle style kicks for the harder edged underground sound...

Have you heard any real Happy Gabber from the 90s? It did exist between 1994 until 1997.

I have some vinyl which appears to be gabber and happy from the mid 90s, some of it is okay if it doesn't get too cheesy, but not really my cup of tea :p I prefer post 2000 dark, angry and evil gabber ;)

Happy Gabber Sucks in my Opinion, it's got to be Hard s Fooook & Dark anything that has been coming from Scott Brown, Neophyte, Master Ceremony, Tha Playah etc for the last 10 or so years.
To be honest i hope theirs a variety of everything to keep everyone into the scene keeping it alive for the next 10 years :)D

Variety is something the scene needs more of and has been lacking in the last few years.

that is the most contradictory post ive ever read, you want producers to go back to making 90's stuff ffs

Im not saying 'go back and make 90s stuff again' I mean make some harder tunes with hard kicks. Make real Hardcore. But the way I see it, if everyone is making 'dated' Hardcore now then why not make dated Hardcore from the 90s as well? Hardcore aint going anywhere imo we need change.

I know a lot are hating on what's going on as of late; personally I just think some producers and labels are moving more and more towards producing for the dancefloor. i.e. Marc Smith feat. Casey - We Are Hardcore; for me this is nothing special, I wouldn't have it in my collection etc, but I seriously think it would get a crowd absolutely ripping at a party/rave. So while the scene is being benefited, a lot of primarily-home listeners are getting left in the dust (if you ask me).
I hope I worded that right, my communications skills are fail.

Thirded. I'm getting really sick of vinyl as of late, I wish everyone would just move onto digital lossless formats already. I'm sure DJs would disapprove, but hey, there are products out there like Traktor for a reason.
