I think it is going to be a lot of crossover type stuff. With Electro and Trancey stuff fusing together with elements of the oldskool from the 90's too. Joey Riot and Kurt seem to be leading the charge with inovation with Electro in Hardcore as well as Trance. Which is why Lethal Theory has taken the crown from Raver Baby for best hardcore label.
Also Hardcore Underground and Gammers Muffin label have had some very fresh sounding releases. I hope hardcore does evolve much more to a new sound. I listen to House music too and it's evolved much more than hardcore. Gone from Piano to Disco, to rocking edged to electro. And is evolving again with alot of early rave influences starting to become poplular. Which is why House is so popular.

Is already happening in parts. So you might be Mcing Garage:) I think you guys should give Electro a chance. There is a lot of really good uplifting Electro out there which could work so well produced in hardcore. Listen to the track 'all my life' by Dougal, Gammer, Whizzkid and Jenna. Probably one of the best tunes ever.
Electro is the main Club sound in Australia, people love it here at it's a very summer sound. I'm sure it's like that in the UK too. And hardcore follows trends in the club scene.

Me too. I certainly wont be signing tracks of the Scouse house/electro donk genre :s
Donk & Scouse House will also be branded Old Skool as well so don't worry about that lol
LETS GET ONE THING STRAIGHT!!
DONK/SCOUSE CAN IN NO WAY INFLUENCE HARDCORE.. when donk/scouse or IN OTHER WORDS off beat basslines were the main stay of hardcore for many a year..
if hardcore decides to use more off beat basslines thats becuase its looking towards its past..
not at the foookin scouse scene!
kids who've got into donk in the last few years need to learn their history!
off beat basslines have been in hardcore.. hard house.. gabba.. (name ur genre) blah blah..
the main reason being there ****IN WELL EASY to make in the studio..
my point ended.

The off beat was there long before Donk came about yes, but that's not what they're saying. Hardcore has been influenced by Donk in the style of off beat used. That horrible, hollow, Scouse-house, donk-machine bass.

Well said meathead, haven't got a clue what harrys bashing his gums about? What people were talkin about is that the hardcore offbeat bass is sounding more similar to the donk bass used in bounce...not one person said that hardcore has copied using an offbeat bass from bounce/scouse :S :S

Raver Baby has never been the best label

Oh I beg to differ! from RaverBaby 10 to 50, when they had the most artists releasing on the label, they were very high in the Hardcore food chain. The label has split up since then, which has weakened it, but if you put Junkbox/Futureworld/Twista/24-7/Raver Baby together, it's still a kick-ass collective.
