No offence but we're on a forum to discuss the music and what we think about, if you don't like it then go away. Opinions will clash, viewpoints will differ - if you can't take the heat, get out of the kitchen, you're not on facebook anymore. You can't just barge into the thread and tell people to stop debating, some of us are trying to learn things and understand the opinions of others because we value intelligence rather than USING CAPSLOCK TO GET A POINT ACROSS.

Yeah, I guess I wasn't clear. Its fine to complain about stuff online or anywhere else, but don't ONLY do that - make a noise about how much you like something as well.

It just seems like it because this thread is about all the action happyhardcore.com has had lately. The reception to HU5 was brilliant and raged on for several pages too...in a more positive way.

Dont forget the member mix page!
But then, it's christmas time, maybe people are away?
Well I don't like the electro stuff, but the Dubstep-ish song Gammer & Whizzkid did a few months ago (We killed the rave?) was fairly... ok. The dubstep part doesn't drag on, it actually syncs into the melody fairly quick and in a good way, but that's about it. I hate dubstep/electro for the lack of melody.

Truth is though, even topics praising something often turn into like/don't like debates. That's not such a bad thing when it's just healthy discussion but somebody usually weighs in with an insult then it all goes to shit! Despite the regular drama, i'm glad this happens - nothing worse than apathy.

Yeah absolutely, complaining shows passion IMO. I care about hardcore, that's why I get on my soapbox - I care enough to write long posts and go through pages of debate to speak for the music I love and the artists I support. They should be grateful we have any opinion at all.

The problem with promoting out what you do like is simply the problem that that style of hardcore is being copied by most of the people I used to listen to until that change.
For me until the past 6 months maybe there was 2 names who I could be sure were making totally slamming tracks still.... That being hixxy and technikore.
As mentioned they are both now learning how to make that dubstep/electro style so they can be written off really.
With the scene turning that way as a whole, what is there to be positive about and like?
Oh and I cant find technikore electro track now, he posted it up yesterday though

Technikore has dabbled in that style for a while now, but, like Gammer and a few others he's capable of allsorts of different styles.

What you're forgetting is that there's STILL non electro hardcore being produced, by tons of people. You're acting like the big names are the only people who've ever done hardcore.
We have two great examples on this site - Archie and Spirit Wolf. Beyond them there's BassJunkie, Pex L, Sash Dee, Jerv, Tokyo Eskimo, Re-Force, Le-Kore, Bridson, Kandie Rush, Entity, Damaged, Kickback, X-Cyte, Elliot X-Ell, and tons more.

You just have to look around a little - another important facet is that the big names aren't ONLY producing electro - there are still normal hardcore releases. Sora Blue is a great example.
If there are still people producing happy hardcore after 20 years (however small that number may be), then I'm sure the hardcore WE know will live on.

Yes but they are up and comings, so their styles of music wont be heard as widely and are not as easy to find. Also they are barely getting paid anything to do music work, if anything at all, so they wont be able to work on the music half as much (compared to a bigname who earns a living from production) and so wont make as many tracks. Many you have named are still going through learning stages so with quite a few tracks the mixdowns/sounds are not bang on, or the tracks are not finished and just put up as short clips with no signs of the full tracks ever (I know that from myself as I have produced for 10 years under "sparkz" and "lucky strike" and a lot of my mixdowns/levels are not correct, I dont always get the chance to work on music either so I may give a short clip away then a few years later give out the full track).
"Sora Blue" was actually made before hixxy's dubstep experiment so we will have to see what his tracks on clubland xtreme 8 are like. Yes bignames can make other styles but they are focusing on the dubstep "in" thing at current.
Thats the thing, theres nobody producing "happy hardcore" at current. In reality for that specific style it cant really be made with new vst's and software,
