Then why do we have to cook meat? If we we're meant to be carnivores, we'd be able to properly digest uncooked meat.

1. for some meats we dont have to. but we do because it usually tastes better

2. We are not carnivores, we're omnivores. use the right bloody word.

3. The meats that are important to cook, sausages, salami etc, are not readily available for other animals to eat.

4. If you watched Land Before Time (i forget which episode) you would understand why some animals eat meat and some dont. When the kids found the baby t-rex and fed him the plants he didnt like them because he thought they tasted bad. however, the dragonfly tasted much better. Its all about the taste.

You base arguments on "evolution". Basing lifestyle choices on previous evolution hinders evolution, because it hinders change. Saying we cant eat meat because we havnt evolved to eat meat is anti evolution. If we continue to eat meat, we will evolve into creatures that can more readily eat and digest meat. The thing is, we already digest meat quite well, certainly well enough so that it is more beneficial for a person to eat meat than to not eat it. Besides, mankind has been eating meat for many millennia, so you should believe that we are right on track to evolve into full blooded carnivores, and that hindering that change is regression.

So in conclusion, stay with your veganism, thats fine, just dont try and tell us we shouldnt eat meat, coz your arguments are flawed and you contradict your religion.

hehe, just thought id chuck it in there. Probably my most random thought of the day. It was just for a laugh really, not a serious arguing point. im sure if you tried to feed meat to a plant eater, it would probably get quite sick. However, we don't get sick when we eat meat. Make of that what you will.

yeh it was good of you for turning female and all that. its alright, more meat for me.

what i dont get is how people think refusing to eat meat will actually make a difference. One more person against six billion sure is gona get things changed.

You obviously don't get the point do you, its the principle of the situation. Although, if everyone decided that one person does make a difference, then there would be no demand. If everyone decided the opposite then no it would make no difference, but it's mainly the principle. You wouldn't eat another human would you?
And pay attention people, i never said i was a vegetarian.

If all that was left on this earth was me, another human and a carrot, dam right i'd eat another human...... i may have the carrot as a side though.

I'd cook the human with the carrot.

Give it more flavor, ya'know?

sorry, I didnt do that post well, if i carried the quotes it might have been understood better. the female thing was to sakari and was (slightly) tongue-in-cheek.

As for the rest, no i definitely dont get it. I'm not gona give up meat because some whackjob organisation says cows have rights too.

Eating people is kinda illegal as far as i understand, besides their meat is fairly tough and nasty. something along the lines of what an animal eats and how it lives and dies is quite crucial to the quality of the meat. I doubt maccas and kfc will help any, and certainly the constant stress people live under would effect the meat. But you never know. My old uncle hannibal can cook up a good dish apparently so i might try it over at his one day.
